We’re feeling all fuzzy and loved here at Singletrack World this week. Following Mark’s appeal, Charlie has been busily skipping to and from the post office with your merch orders,...
What is Fresh Goods Friday?
It’s Singletrack’s long running, weekly roundup of all of the new products that have been sent in to the magazine.
Where do all of the goods come from?
They’re sent in by bike companies and marketing agencies
What happens to all of the products?
They’re featured and then some are reviewed down the line in either Singletrack Magazine or in online reviews and photoshoots.
What happens to them when you’ve finished with them?
They’re usually sent back after review, or kept on long-term test bikes. But no one ever asks for shorts and shoes back. Trust us on that. Once we were asked to return some brake pads.
I’m a company making the next big thing. How much does it cost to feature in FGF?
Nothing. Nil. Zero. Diddlysquat. Sod all. Just send all ‘next big things’ to us at – Fresh Goods Friday, Singletrack Magazine, Lockside Mill, Dale Street, Todmorden. OL14 5PX. Please note that if you require the products back after they have featured then you are responsible for arranging collection at your cost. While it is our policy to feature everything we receive in FGF if we decide your product is not suitable for publication we won’t do it. Publication is at our discretion. Whether a product goes on for publication as a review is at editorial discretion. Beer, coffee & spirits will ALWAYS be tested.
It\'s peak holiday season and we\'ve installed a revolving door at the front of Singletrack Towers to deal with the high turnover of suntanned/stressed-out staff.
It\'s a photo-heavy edition of Fresh Goods Friday this week. We hope your broadband connection or cellular data network can handle it!
Hello? Is there anybody there? Can anybody hear me? The mass exodus continues. Cliff Richard has taken everybody on a summer holiday.
We hope you, your pets, your plants and so on all made it through the extreme heat this week, and if you have got school holiday getaways, may they go…
Ride your bike. Stay in the trees. Plot routes near watering holes (AKA \'shops\'). Strap another bottle cage on to your bike/body. Sun cream.
I\'m writing this with stinging fingers. Summer is well and true upon us. The trails have grown their hair out and every ride sees regular brushes with nettles, brambles and…
The Tour Of The France begins today. But before you open up a browser tab to listen/watch the opening stage (which is probably a time trial in Denmark somewhere IIRC),...
Did someone say 606? Remember the Roland TR-606 drum machine? You don\'t but you do. 303, 909, 606... which is your favourite device?
I (Amanda), am in the Lake District with Benji and Mark, fumbling around with bikes and cameras. It’s far too rare an occasion that this job actually takes us outside...
We trust you’ve had a most splendid week. If you haven’t, we’re sorry about that. There’s always next week. This too shall pass. Anyway. Here’s this week’s Fresh Goods for...

Please try and keep those forelocks untugged for a few more days as we delve into the People\'s Republic of Fresh Goods.
We\'re all just clockwatching today - yes, even more than normal - because it\'s Fort William Weekend once more!
As real life feels more and more like the opening fifteen minutes of Threads (sorry!), let\'s console ourselves with some product gawping.
We hope everyone (in the UK at least) is recovering from the white heat of excitement that comes with taking part in western democracy.
Hannah is back from the USA in body but not mind. She keeps waking up in the night convinced she’s still camping out in some California woodland, or jerking awake...
Apologies in advance for any USA pricing. Hannah is on holiday and can\'t figure out how to get UK websites to display on her laptop.
Here we are, sliding into the weekend early! It’s Good Friday and Hannah is still in America bike-bothering, Amanda is off to the Cairngorms to play ‘It’ll Go’ on her...
It’s Friday again. Easter is approaching and, soon, summer will be here. Or is it spring? When does it all start? Anyway, not long now until those blue sky days...
Here we are, back to winter, just in time for our energy bills to rise an unfathomable amount. So get your insulated jackets out, your merino base layers, your buffs...
I would write a slightly longer introduction to this week\'s FGF but... the sun\'s out. I\'m off out on my bike to ride all the trails that have been off-limits-soggy…
What is it with March? It seems like it’s someone’s birthday every day. Well, obviously it is someone’s birthday every day, every day. But you know what I mean. Don’t...
Although the pesky wall calendar may claim that it\'s not spring until March 27th or something ri-dic-u-lous, we\'ve already spotted bluebell shoots er, shooting up.
This week saw Singletrack head back to the office. For the first time since The Before Times, we were pretty much all in the building for one day.
Are you familiar with that meme of the \'This Is Fine\' cartoon dog calmly drinking from a mug whilst its house is burning down all around it?
There’s a fun thread on the Forum (though it’s not thread of the week, soz) about bikes you wish brands would make. After the recent flurry of giant wheeled trail...
Another Friday is upon us. After another week of digital trials and tribulations. Here\'s a rundown of what the beautiful rogue\'s gallery of couriers and posties has cobbed at us…
You may have noticed the Singletrackworld homepage looked a bit different yesterday. This was due to the new issue of the magazine coming out.
