Yeah, good ride tonight guys. Thanks for sticking with me, appreciate the help.
I need to up my fitness and lose a few kilos. I’m a little behind to where I was this time last year, but these types of rides around and above my FTP defo helps out.
I may take note of what my watch says this time and take it easy for 72 hours
I’m currently down with the Covid so tomorrow isn’t happening. Realistically, the Alpe appears optimistic in 8 days’ time but we’ll see. Have a great Christmas all.
2 and a half (@paul-s is the half) isn’t enough. So @phil56 has hit the nail on the head – either a sudden surge of interest, or we try again next week. Realistically – the latter?
I’ll be back next week. Still school holidays here so an evening zwifting when I could be sitting on the sofa watching films with my son isn’t appealing!
Hi all. Just @phil56 and @giggsmaster signed up so far. (Phil, I hope you are feeling OK!).
Any more takers?
I’m worried this is fading away. I am happy to keep coordinating as long as there is interest – but there’s not much of that right now. If we were to stop, I’d be happy to coordinate again if there’s call for a return in future. Thoughts?
I’m in sorry. I’m happy either way really @savoyad appreciate it can be a bit of a nuisance to do all the admin even if people are racing let alone when they’re not.
If I were to guess I’d say the Christmas new year thing won’t help so maybe don’t worry about entries for a couple of weeks and see if people are back to normal ish and there’s more uptake come February?
I’m still interested but having done only 2 or 3 rides in the last month after injury I am feeling my way back.
After tonights group thash I may know more, but 3 hilly is probably my worst nightmare when I am ready, and feels like a step too far for the third ride of the year.
If its still viable, barring a setback, I will be in the following week.
Next week is Wandering Flats which is fairly short but a good course for people to reintroduce themselves if people are doubtful. I cant make this week but would like it going if we can…
@alibongo001 no one is ever too slow. If you make the effort to turn up and are interested in pushing yourself you’ll have 5 team mates to help and support you
We’re firmly interested in the Team bit of Team TT so more the merrier.
You may find you’re sitting in the whole way round rather than pulling on the front to begin with (or when, like me, you’re returning from being lazy and greedy for months) but with practice you’ll get quicker anyhow.
(One or two have gotten much quicker since the whole thing started out. So much so we’re too slow now and they joined another team )
I’m one of the ‘slow’ ones and I can safely say that I never got left behind. The encouragement was so good it pushed my FTP up after the 1st event I did this winter. It definitely helps with the fitness side of things!
