I was always going to be a last minute decision depending if I get home from work in time or not, so I couldn’t commit and left it open.

Sorry Hoppy, some evenings are good for me, some aren’t. Just keep asking…

No worries, it was getting to the point I was being hassled on other stuff and it wouldn’t have gone down well to be rolling round like Billy no mates.

Yeh sorry I couldn’t do this evening as we promised the little guy that we would go to pizza express so I def wouldn’t be up for riding after that. Just got home suitable stuffed and the thought of doing anything other than chilling in the sofa.

Not fit enough to keep up with you lot on the sprints….

Was gonna nip out on the road this evening, but it’s very rainy, so just updated Zwift and will be hopping on in a bit…

Anyone interested in getting the morning commutes up and running again?

I’m in danger of losing motivation and fitness…I get bored easily on my own haha

Missed this yesterday. Yep happy to do some commutes next week. Have enjoyed my week off but need to get a bit more structure back.

    Sunday hills anyone?

    oopnorth

I might be ok for sunday hills, will be there if I can but not definite right now. I’ll know nearer the time.

Let’s also set some commutes up too for next week…what days are you available?

If anyone fancies it I’m going to do a quick half hour on whole lot of lava tomorrow morning at about 6.10 – builder due at 7 ish so I need to be done and showered by then but then I’ve a day of sat at my desk or in the car to l forward to stop could really do with some exercise.

I’ve sent an invite to oop North and robbo. Anyone else want to join me let me know!

    (sorry its extra early!)

Ooooo that’s super early! Not sure if I’ll be awake at that time, but if I am I’ll be there.

That one is too early for me this week Brian! Tomorrow is the last day of my week off (stayed at home though).

I can’t remember what days I need to be in the office next week. I’ll put something in for Tuesday and Wednesday at 6.45 if that’s OK and then might be able to add some more after that.

Right have put some stuff in the calendar. Sunday I have done one of the new french routes. 60k no big hills so something different. Should make a decent pace.

Terry may join us on some of the commutes as he expressed an interest of the back of the race series so I have added him on the invite list.

Can’t remember who is invited on Sunday hills so if you don’t have an invite and want to come along let me know!

No trouble robbo, nothing for me next week – I’m headed up to Scotland for most of a week to try not to do a DrP

I’ve accepted Tues and Weds next week. As above if I can make the others I’ll join, Sunday will hopefully be doable plus I want to do that route.

I’ll need to do it slower than the MAAP stage though cos this is 2 laps and I was dying yesterday after a fast one lap.

Have a great week in Scotland Brian!

I’m probably up for Sunday “hills” as that’s a route I need to get done and a group ride round there will make life easier.

Ta. Not spannering my self is the bar…

Well you didn’t miss much folks – realised I’ve packed my [both pairs of light ish] shoes into the car already so put my winter ones on which resulted in almost immediate sweaty feet then proceeded to rub due to insufficient sock bulk and coverage. Think I made it maybe 2k before I decided to sod it off.

Sort of glad for the lack of company or I’d have stuck with it and ended up with my feet flayed.

Haha something was trying to tell you it wasnt a good idea in the first place!

I decided to have a lie in and set a late alarm, it’s my only opportunity as I’m up early all weekend with various things to do.

Hope the weather is better in scotland, you biking all week on 7 Staines etc? I’m well jealous if you are! Enjoy.

Few days based out of Innerleithen then up to nevis Range, maybe via glencoe or devil’s staircase subject to weather.

Plan was to have a bigger bike built but there was a procurement issue* with the frame so I’m on my following instead. I’ll be staying off the wc at nevis and the black at glencoe me thinks!

*I’m a bit cross about that.

Not been a good Indoor bike week, done a couple other app rides when I could, a Track day and been away with work with a few late nights hampered time, have accepted Sunday that sounds good and also Wednesday I can’t do Tuesday.

I had a mileage stretch target for the month which really looks like a stretch now….

Great ride that this morning, good pace and a bit of everything to suit all.
    Legs nicely buzzing now.
    Cheers chaps!

Great ride, not sure where I was in the middle 🙂 think todays reading will be how to improve pace on flat bits…. LOL

Thanks All certainly a good pace set!

Yeah that was good, thanks guys. I still think you were sandbagging there Forge, put 20s into me and Robbo before the hill and then blasted up too. Either that or you were too busy eating skittles to put the power down.

Closest I’ve been to anyone else on Sunday Hills up those climbs today so something is heading the right way.

Hard work at the start with what seemed like every Japanese Zwifter in the world trying to hook a draft to begin with.

Good ride that. I averaged 299w for 7 mins on that last climb. Did beat my pb by 30 seconds but didn’t get it under 7 minutes. Prob could if I went into it fresh instead of 50k in! The aqueduct Kom should create some splits in races as well. Cheers all.

Felt good early on then had nothing in my legs in the middle after eating a banana, a gel and some skittles I came back for last 15 or so miles, no sandbagging! just didn’t have the pace at times (which I need to look at and improve on)

You’ve all definitely upped the pace, the start felt fast and busy with the others around.

It’s a fast course in general around there, whichever way you go…it demands you go flat out with no rest bits. I actually quite like that part of the France map.

Definitely a good addition, Paris too.

Definitely a good addition. I feel like I’ve had a good cycle today so much so all I’ve done today is a family call then watched motorsport on ITV4 all afternoon 🙂

@robbo1234biking Just so you know, I got a results page at the end this morning. I could photo it and save it as needed.
I wonder if you would need to stay active to get all the results once everyone has finished, might mean waiting around. Is it different for the organiser of the meetup?

    robbo1234biking

Cheers mate I got the results window as well, but even better you can view the results if you look in the activity afterwards in the zwift companion so no need to try and take any screen shots or anything!

    oopnorth

Yep, all there in the companion App! So it works then, test successful!

See you in the morning for more leg pain 🙂

Good commute today, enjoyed that, I got the badge for the route After I rounded up the ride up with a few more miles, when I got to the top of the first mini climb were you turn left to head down to viaduct it gave me the badge there.

That’s me Zwifted for this week, may do Friday but likely other app, and Sunday rest day this week.

That’s annoying – I should have read the description better as that was prob only another 5 mins on the bike! Good ride this morning. I got a 1 minute power best on that ride too – 449W so 5W higher than my previous best.

Got the TTT tomorrow evening and then I am doing Stage 1 of the MAAP events on Friday afternoon as I missed it. Only 2 people signed up at the moment so may do it as a workout instead just to complete the series.

Oh really???!! That’s really annoying! Not that I could really be bothered going back up the full hill. 😉 Why does Zwift do these crazy start points on meetup’s? I guess we had to go through another banner, hence you got the badge.

It wasn’t happening for me this morning, just felt like I was having to really push to keep up all the way round, unlike Sunday. You guys really had the legs this morning.
I need to get out of my pit sooner and warm up, but it just feels so early!! haha

Tomorrow I’m thinking of joining the MAAP 3 sisters route, I won’t be racing it, just plan to get round and the event gives me an incentive. I may have to cut it short depending on time anyway. It’s been a while since I did some hills.

Yes is annoying the selected route doesn’t get the badge, felt good this am, tomorrow running and most likely working away next week so be a bit of time before I am on Zwift again.

Anyone up for a Saturday morning ride? Cant do Sunday this week as we have family visiting.

BTW I should have read this first:

    https://zwiftinsider.com/france/

Although the meetup when you select a route should at least ensure you can complete the route that you have chosen!

I’m away this weekend but might be able to hop on if it was shorter, if you set something up drop me an invite please and I’ll make a last minute call.

I’m in Robbo! I can’t do Sunday this week, but available Saturday and Monday (bank holiday) mornings.
Able to do a longish one if needed. At some point I need to do Watopia pretzel, everything else above that on the list is wayyyy too long.
