Piggie, never spoke to them. Young lads ran up the staircase spitting at people. Didn’t really make anyone want to hang around and chat to any Ospreys fans after that.
Met some lovely people from other clubs though and I’m sure I will from Ospreys at some point, but that night wasn’t that point.

When Swansea and Neath merged to make the Ospreys a lot of Swansea fans were uncomfortable with the fact that they’d be lumped in with the Neath lot. Neath, famous for their chant of……..Neef, Neef, Neef, Neef, Neef. 🙄 Swansea fans were a bit older and calmer – a larger, more affluent town’s fanbase, rather than a small town crowd with nothing else to do in the town.

I’m not saying that the phlegm boys were from Neath, but there were reasons that a lot of ex-Swansea supporters stay away and one was behaviour like this which would never have been allowed at St Helens.

On the other side of things, did a MTB Marathon out of Ruthin a couple of years ago, which was sited at Ruthin Rugby Club. Had a bit of a shock walking in, to see a huge mural/photo of Sale Sharks down the back wall – realised quickly that Ruthin was the home club of Effion Lewis-Roberts, had a lovely evening with the Ruthin club guys listening to their proud tales of Effion – wasn’t good prep for a MTB Marathon the next morning though. There and Llandovery were very open an welcoming to us.

Is there any substance to these rumours about Bath? Quite telling (to me at least) that Ford had to make the statement to the effect that he would still be in charge next season.

European Rugby Cup

Quick question about semi-final venues. SF1 already know to be Madesky based upon QF1 and 2. From what I can see whoever wins the QF4 between Racing and Toulon will be the home country side as both have better records (I think). So assuming its Racing vs Leicester the SF will in France, probably somewhere like Lille (neutral venue nearish the UK) ? If Toulon win it will be down in the South ?

The bit that grabbed me was him being the first traveller to play international rugby. I thought at first this must be badly worded and meant to mean “first in his family” when comparing the popularity between boxing and rugby but then I saw the second quote after a quick Google
