Midweek Movies: Huck that hump day!

by 0

It is hump day, in a week after a short week, so the hump feels bigger than usual. To try and help you over the hump, here is a selection of eye food. Hopefully the nutrients will make their way through your eye tubes, into your brain, and on into your stoke receptors, perhaps even activating your legs. Even if it is just to go outside and practice hopping sticks in the street.

Landosteezy

Always worth a look, Leo ‘Lando’ Smith hits some urban spots around the north. Have it.

Hard Miles

An actual movie about cycling? Whatever next, cycle/fashion crossover? This ‘based on a true story’ movie probably tells us what we already knew: bikes are great. But we don’t mind if the rest of the world discovers this too, do we?

Kids And Coastlines

Possibly one for the kids, rather than adults. But we’ve got some serious thoughts that came out of this ride from Vicky Balfour in the next mag. Which is available to buy now!

Hardline POV

Stick on a helmet, grab a set of bars, and pretend it’s you winning Red Bull Hardline.

Double Down 2

Amid all the chat about the canyon gap at Hardline, here’s a throwback to the start of some of that sort of thing (except, of course, it wasn’t a race, and these guys were choosing their lines, and…).

OK, hopefully your stoke stalks are now fully activated. When are you going to ride your bike?

I came to Singletrack having decided there must be more to life than meetings. I like all bikes, but especially unusual ones. More than bikes, I like what bikes do. I think that they link people and places; that cycling creates a connection between us and our environment; bikes create communities; deliver freedom; bring joy; and improve fitness. They're environmentally friendly and create friendly environments. I try to write about all these things in the hope that others might discover the joy of bikes too.
