The fact that they are STILL playing the game with ‘surprises’ rather than growing up and being honest and straight should be terrifying to anyone who has given them money.
Teasers and blocked comments are not what a responsible company in such a awful situation should be doing.

It’s a bit like an abusive relationship now.

Did the buyers of frames ever receive their ‘special owners t-shirt’?

Lister beat me too it. I was going to make exactly the same comment. That’s no way to start to rebuild the trust of a community you’ve managed to alienate. How many people here or on PB think that Sick! are a reliable company now? As far as I can make out they’ve promised more than once that they’ve got the dull business side of things sorted with proper systems and F/T employees, shipping, delivery schedules, warehousing, QC, all that dull shit that they don’t (or can’t) seem to bother with. The time for “Guess what, tune in later for exciting news” has long gone…

The weird thing is, they clearly have products that sell, folk seem to really like the Tees, and given the amount of folk looking for refunds (or just info on where their frames are) there seems to be a market for those as well.  If at the time they’d held their hands up and admitted they were swamped, I think people would’ve given them some slack.

I genuinely don’t wish them ill, and hope that ultimately they succeed in supplying people the bikes they clearly want. If I were them, I’d just be quietly getting on with that rather than banging the Insta drum

I wish them ill… I hope the day after everyone gets their bikes/frames the company goes completely belly up and never darkens the internet again.

    Absolutel disgrace.

+1 another we’ve heard all this “It’s sorted” BS…..I don’t believe a word of it.

The MTB press needs to get its act together & call them on it. Yes, I know STW are composing an article but it’s taking its time to show its face….

While most of us would throw in the towel if we’d messed up that badly, part of me enjoys the entertainment of them keeping trying.

At least their latest posting has given this thread fresh impetus. Otherwise it’d just be tomhoward bickering with whoever else wandered in.

Its like a soap opera! What I don’t get is why has no one sued them via small claims yet.

So much more than that. I can actually see a new direction and I’m sure it’ll all get sorted. I mean, the scousers turned 3-0 around last night so why can’t Suckbikes. Oh cos they’re a **** omnishambles. There surely can’t be a person left on the planet who’d buy into their promises.

Because it’s unlikely they have any tangible assets?

The most any journo will do is to give them yet another opportunity to say that they are sorting stuff and really really sorry honest guv. I very much doubt there’ll be a “haven’t we heard all of this before…”, Probably a nice picture of a swanky warehouse with one frame and a zillion empty boxes, some more hipster coffee…

What Sick need to do is stop the bull, sort out every single refund and deliver on existing orders make sure these take priority over any new products/socks etc. Give the competition winner his frame, reply to emails in a timely manner, oh and maybe stop being dickheads on the internet.

I don’t know, its not like they are going to lose any advertising revenue from Sick now is it?

Clearly still doing things in the wrong order – do that while no one is watching. Or do a Miley Cyrus & delete it all & start again…

I’ve waited months for packages to arrive royal mail to canadapost before now.. whereas I’ll get packages out of Europe in days..frustrating as heck though!

Yeah it’s weird and a total lottery as to what will turn up and when! Maybe it’ll be my retirement gift to myself 🙂

Oh yeah, Canada Post are horrendous for that. I complained to my postie that 4 months’ worth of a monthly mag subscription, and about 3 weeks of a weekly magazine, had not been delivered. For the next 6 days they delivered nothing but magazines, some issues of which they’d obviously been sat on for more than 3 months.

Tbh, Sick should use that as an excuse, even for those bikes not being sent to Canada…

Surprise! UBYK have bought SICK bikes for our outstanding customer service.

I know that I’m a bit late to this conversation, but, I ordered a Ruby Wulf frame with the understanding that it was going to ship in 2 weeks…..that was March 1. I also ordered a t-shirt that, to my surprise, arrived here in California less than a week later. When I was sent the notification of the shipment, I mistakenly thought it was the frame. I was disappointed and puzzled. I thought they would just throw it in the frame box when they shipped that, not spend the money to expedite a t-shirt from the UK to CA…..weird. I followed up with them and was initially told that it would be two weeks. Subsequent emails then claimed that they had run into a problem. The frames had been made, but they were, for reasons they never explained, unable to bring them ashore and were “sorting it out and would send everyone an update soon”.

Weeks continued to pass and two things happened. I noticed that they had removed the Wulf series frames completely from the website, and I came across this blog while looking for Wulf geometry.
I decided to push them a bit more as by this point we are well over a month past the 3/16 ship date they promised me. Since they still couldn’t give me a ship date, I canceled and requested a full refund.

I was told by James that all refunds were authorized by their directors and that he would request my refund immediately. That was 3 weeks ago and still nothing.

I promised Sick Bicycles that if I didn’t receive my refund within a few days that I would have a new hobby and that my new hobby would be to tell as many people as I could about their bullshit little scam. I also told them that I would continue to post on message boards and contact as many magazines in the US and Europe as I can. This posting is my first effort towards mastering my new hobby. Scumbag, rip-off, peice of shit little bitches. Seriously…..**** those guys.

This thread just keeps on giving. How can they continue to get away with this? I feel like I’m owed a frame at this point just for reading this.

    Representing the UK scene though.

Nice to see them back on IG, but in reality, nothing has changed. It’s just another ‘everything will be fine’ message like the half dozen before it. It’s almost like they think sending these messages out solves the problems. Still no action…

The FAQ section of their website is my favourite….first question is….where is my stuff? Ha ha

Also interesting that every T-shirt sold they provide a meal for a kid and plant a tree. Maybe that’s where they have been lately? I mean I see loads of Sick T-shirts. So obviously they got loads of kids to feed and trees to bury! Right?

wow, i never realised this was a thing

“For every shirt we sell in 2018 we plant a tree and provide 1 meal for a child. We don’t shout about it because its just something we do. We support the Eden Reforestation Project and Marys Meals. As such we do not sponsor, promote or endorse any other charity. ”

i know the folk at marys meals, maybe i’ll ask if it’s legit

    socks are 3 for 2

Who on earth wants three socks?

It’s basic errors of judgement like that that make me think they’re going to have problems running a business in the future.

I’m stunned no-one is standing outside their HQ (assuming people know where it is) and screaming for their frames.
