Think Slik graphics only do regular sized Enve decals

If I saw someone riding Enve badged wheels out on the trails I’d think they were mad to not have gone for some Light bicycle wheels instead 🙂

My sub 360g UD matte 29 xc hookless are in customs, credit card hub beating to follow….

Me neither. You can just about get away with the “I like the graphics” defence for the logos, but there’s no reason to have the 70s on there except to look like Enves. Each to their own.

It must be that he likes them like that, because the m70 graphics don’t look like that on the production enve rim decals 😉

I hate this image pasting crap. Please make it so idiots can do it easily….

Anyway, LB29 on Chris Kings survived several trail centres now and I’m not gentle. Many many prs so they are much faster than stock. Coming to take a KOM near you soon (well maybe not but I can dream!)

Apologies for the bad form in posting a bike that looks like it has actually been used.

I kind of wish I’d got the decals in lum green to match the frame now, and to help wind up the haters!

So are those proper ENVE logos on LB rims DT78?

So you care enough about how your bike looks to put fake decals on, but not to line your logos up?! That looks twice as shit.

You got some of these for your cranks?:

    DT78

2 logos on tyres, 3 on rims how would you propose to line them up better than they are then?

Hadn’t thought about crank arm covers – however I kind of like the polished ‘I’ve been used’ look which takes time to cultivate.

They aren’t proper enve logos, older (road) design I believe, but I always liked them. I had planned to try and create something similar with my own initials and ‘wings’ but everything I did myself looked rubbish.

Tbh, in normal use you can’t even see the decals unless you look hard, they are gloss black on matt black rims. I didn’t go for lum green as I was concerned about them not matching the frame, and whilst I’m quicker than your average punter I’m still not in the same league as the elites at races, so maybe when I get some podiums I’ll go louder 🙂

What else can I do to stir the STW masses into a foaming outrage at the use of stickers?

Oh yes, I also have my name on my bike. Because its mine, and I can.

I will put easton haven decals in my LB wheelset when it arrives 🙂 , just because I can 😛

just because I can want people to think I’ve spent more on wheels than I have

    Don’t kid yourself.

Can you get LB decals seperately? I think they’d look ace on my Enves.

I’m going to do a carbon style vinyl wrap on my flows, then put Derby stickers on them.

😆 i used to do similar things with stickers when i was about 8 , its pretty tragic/embarrasing to put different decals on to make something seem more expensive

people are’nt getting mad btw, they just think its laughable/cringe worthy that you would want to do so

like i said if i was putting on decals that i wanted to match up with the bike, id just order some enve decals themself from slikgraphics or similar

Where as I think this is pretty tragic. The fact that they aren’t Enve decals is what makes it amusing. So basically each to their own.

Put some f*cking great big Superstar and On One/Planet X ones on.

In fact, I will pay for you to have them printed, solely to piss off some of the moaners on here who complain about those brands!

Are people building them 2 cross or 3 cross?

My 33mm DH (from Carbonal but share the mould with LB) are built 3 cross. Very, very stiff and easy to true & tension when building.

Finally got mine on yesterday and rode them today. Very pleased with them too!

From the oem wheels and cassette on my Orange Gyro I dropped from 2440g of wheels to 1715g (35mm 29ers, pro2, dt revs, dt brass pro locks). I’m also running them tubeless so that’s another 250-300g saved, making around a 1kg drop!

The weight difference is noticeable immediately and the stiffness is excellent to have after the flexy crap the bike came with.

It was a bit difficult getting the 2.3 snakeskin HD on the front and it broke two levers! The Nic rear needed a blast of CO2 to get it to seat, I then let it all out and added air/sealant. Might have to buy a compressor!

What length valves are people using with the 35mm rims, if they are running them tubeless?

Mine turned up on Friday and cannot wait to build them up.

2.4 Protection version Conti Trail Kings are quite tight as well, but I was still able to work them on by hand. The only other tyres I’ve tried are my 2.4 EXO Ardents, which were pretty easy to get on but needed some compressed air to fit them.

MrNero – I’m just using standard length tubeless valves.

MrNero- when did you order yours ? im patiently (really not) waiting for mine at the moment lol.

I ordered them mid may. Took, about 12 days to be dispatched, 3 days to get to the UK then about 8 days to clear customs and get delivered.

Thanks for the replies re: valves.
