F1 have already said it won’t work in Monaco and they’ve got no plans to roll it out at every venue…
I suspect it’s all a bit premature, anyway. If the 2022 formula achieves the goal of close racing then sprint races start to look a lot more interesting.
Pretty much don’t feel I want to watch tomorrow as I’ve seen how it’ll go
Shame, I don’t think you’ve seen much really as they couldn’t change tyres, and despite Alonso’s great overtaking on the first lap, he probably spoiled the opportunity of some close racing between Norris and Leclerc. But for sure, It’s Verstappen’s to loose.

I thought the idea was to try the sprint format this year to see what everyone thinks, then possibly use it at half a dozen races per year in the future. It was never intended to be used at every race. Some circuits will suit it, others won’t.
The additional smart part of Red Bull retiring Perez from the Sprint is that the regulations say they’ll get a 100k increase in their budget cap. https://t.co/JI0I0ZeWKq
What? They did bump wheels, Lewis was in the wrong there.
As in front wheels against each other and rears too rather than Hamilton’s front to Verstappen’s rear. Verstappen would have gone for the overtake if the roles had been reversed.
Plenty of space for both to corner on their lines. Impact disrupts set up so Hamilton is moved across. Commentators are hardly neutral. What’s Tom cruise say?
I thought that Max was defending aggressively for the whole lap, and Lewis kept backing off, the time he didn’t back off Max loses out. Looking at the driving for the whole lap I would say that Lewis was driving safer than Max, Lewis couldn’t make the apex because Max nearly forced him right over into the pit wall and compromised his entry.
He’s a whining little shit as we know. They were always going to go hammer and tongs, and this was always going to happen at some point. Racing incident, and I’m pleased Max is OK.
I don’t understand this “That’s not a corner you overtake on” from Red Bull (including the fanboys in the C4 commentary team)….you can overtake wherever you like…if Max hadn’t come across they’d have both been fine
But… Max is in the lead of the championship, with a better car. This is the sort of incident where you back off and fight back later in the race. Losing 25 points here could lose him the championship.
Lewis was forced wide after impact from Max and lost downforce. Thought that was obvious from the steering by Lewis. Racing incident. Would have been the same if reversed.

Yep – you can overtake anywhere you get a chance! 😀
Lewis edged ahead on the straight, max was ahead mid corner because he had the wider line and was able to carry more speed, Lewis can’t just give every corner to Max that wouldn’t be a race, Lewis had the inside line and was at least level when they entered the corner, but his entry was compromised and couldn’t hold a tight line, it is just racing.
I think that shot of Hamilton showed a picture of a man that is feeling guilty. Maybe not deliberately, but still knows he pushed a bit too hard and misjudged it.
