As my jumping skills on a mountain bike are improving I’d like to treat myself to a BMX bike, just to take to the local dirt jumps, maybe a BMX track as well.

I know nothing about BMX but I do know that at 6’3 tall I should be looking for a bike with a longer TT. I don’t want to spend a fortune either so could anyone point me in the right direction?

24″ jump bike rather than a bmx?

(STW practice to recommend what one has themselves!)

Couldn’t justify building a bmx so went for a dmr rhythm frame and built it up with a little help from some friends

have you considered a 24″ ‘cruiser’?

you can often get one for around £200 from winstanley’s / alans’ bmx…

Still thinking of selling this, it gets used once in a blue moon, nowhere near enough to justify the shed space though.

    £140

Forget cruisers and 24 inch MTBs, look in classifieds and sales for XL BMX frames. Most BMX companies offer their frames in an XL option nowadays. My cousin is 6’2 and rides a Redline XL (not sure which model) as he always found standard frames a bit dinky for him.
