No, the grounding wasn’t fine – he dropped the ball forward so had no control.

Ah, fair play. I dispute that momentarily losing contact with the ball demonstrates a lack on control (when combined with downward pressure a fraction of a second later), but I suspect that’s what the law says.

Otherwise you could throw the ball forward and tap it down at the last. Correct call by the Tv ref. Th erfe was wrong to stick his arm up straight away. Also incorrect to penalise england for holding on there.
Never mind, the saviour of rugby has just come on…..
