In 2008 it was reported that London and the South East paid £1 of every £6 collected in tax to fund services in other regions, and other reports consistently show that the SOuth East receives a lower level of central allocations to councils i.e. they receive a lower central contribution to services than the regions.

And before you say it, the study in the link below attributes all North Sea Oil revenue to Scotland – the south east still makes a net contribution to the North:

No it’s not, and I agree with TJ on this point. In fact, Stoner, Flashy and Z-11 are all perfect examples of ‘Little Englanders’; people so ignorant of the world beyond their own cosy little bubble that they think their opinions are the only ones worth considering. People who, in spite of decent educations, are still woefully ignorant of the lives and experiences of others; people they are often quick to belittle and dismiss as unimportant. People who time and time again demonstrate ignorant, stuck-up insular attitudes which betray their prejudice towards others who don’t measure up to their own standards.

One interesting thing I’ve noticed on here, is that all the ‘Lefties’ seem to be amicable friendly types who often talk of going for rides with other forum members, yet the Little Englanders seldom do this, preferring, most probably, to stick to their ‘own kind’ and seem loathe to actually mix with others. Funny, that.
