Ya, as if the whole world revolves around that insignificant region … ya, their losing the plot is so significant it is a big news. There are many people that got killed everyday all over the world you know.

Until they start nuking each others that place is full of sand! Desert! They can slaughter each other as much as they like they will not turn the place green. 🙄

“Warning Graphic.” <- 😆 You called that graphic?

@gonzy I said in my posts Netanyahu hadn’t trivialised the Holocaust. Language on both sides has been ratcheting up.

i never said he trivialised it. it happened and Hilter was responsible for it. but to say that a Palestinian Imam told him to do it frankly ridiculous seeing as it was already happening by the time the two supposedly met.

Posters here need to understand Israel has prevented (as much as its able) Jews from praying at the site even though it’s a holy site to Jews and Christians and one which predates Islam by 1000’s of years. The rhetoric inciting violence from the Palestinian side has been constant these past few weeks/months.

Watch the Vicenews clips, we have demonstrators who do not believe in a two state solution but only in the destruction of Israel by violent Jihad (written in their constitution). We have the Imam (I assume) in dispatch 5 saying the problem is that the number of Jewish visitors has increased from 3-5 per day to as many as 30-50 on Jewish high holidays. So all these riots and deaths because a few times a year 50 Jews wish to visit their holy site whilst being prevented from praying by the Isreali government ?

    absolute zionist tosh!!
israel does allow its Israeli Jewish citizens free access to the Temple Mount. it refuses to allow Muslim worshippers access to the the Al Aqsa Mosque and has done so for quite some time. more recently this has been ramped up and has led to rising tensions and outbreaks of riots. Israel knows what it is doing is wrong yet still does it as it knows doing this will further incite the Palestinians and encourage Hamas to respond with aggression, this then justifies more land grabbing and Palestinian deaths.
just to rub salt in the wounds they then regularly allow Jewish settlers to enter the mosque to cause trouble and vandalise the mosque knowing that this will again lead to a violent response.

Jersuleam was for the longest time a very important city and home to the Jews for 1000’s of years before their first and then second temple (the home of their religion) which where both destroyed and the Jews banished. It’s been at the centre of Christianity (we sing the hymn Jersusalem at the rugby ate ladies at the WI for a good reason) and then more lattery important although not the centre to Islam. So everyone is fighting over the same bit of land and have been doing so for a very very long time.

who destroyed it the first time? the Babylonians.
who destroyed it the second time? the Romans.
who expelled the Jews? the Romans did.
where did the Jews flee to? Europe
Who banished the Jews from Europe? the Christians
who offered the Jews protection and sanctuary? the Muslims

you say that Jerusalem isnt important in Islam….you’re wrong because you either dont know your history or you like to manipulate it so that it fits in with the zionist agenda.

the al aqsa mosque is the 3rd most holy site in Islam. Revered as the Noble Sanctuary, it is the location of Muhammad’s journey to Jerusalem and ascent to heaven, it is also associated with Jewish biblical prophets who are also venerated in Islam.
The Temple Mount was destoyed by the Romans in 70CE. Teh Romans then built another temple on top of this before that too was destyoed by the Romans in 325CE.
In 610, the Sassanid Empire drove the Byzantine Empire out of the Middle East, giving the Jews control of Jerusalem for the first time in centuries. The Jews in Palestine were allowed to set up a vassal state under the Sassanid Empire called the Sassanid Jewish Commonwealth which lasted for five years. Jewish rabbis ordered the restart of animal sacrifice for the first time since the time of Second Temple and started to reconstruct the Jewish Temple. Shortly before the Byzantines took the area back five years later in 615, the Persians gave control to the Christian population, who tore down the partially built Jewish Temple edifice
After the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem in 637 CE, Umayyad Caliphs commissioned the construction of the al-Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock on the site. The Dome was completed in 692 CE, making it one of the oldest extant Islamic structures in the world, after the Kaabah. The Al Aqsa Mosque rests on the far southern side of the Mount, facing Mecca. The Dome of the Rock currently sits in the middle, occupying or close to the area where the Holy Temple previously stood.

I would imagine this kinda thing is the more important stuff to be discussing, rather and the religious history, and the reasons why it happened.

And more importantly, how to fix it. Which is world pressure on israel, the US to stop “military aid” and a 1 state solution where palestinian and israelis have the democratic right to 1 person, 1 vote.

israel does allow its Israeli Jewish citizens free access to the Temple Mount.

This is sophistry – it’s access but non-Muslims are not allowed to pray.* I don’t call that free access.

    * we live an absurd world where there are special rules about whether you’re allowed to internally cast spells to your favourite sky fairy on a particular hill

    gonzy,

    Interesting long explanation there.
Perhaps the real question is why after so many centuries everyone still wants to kill/hate the Jews? 😯

who destroyed it the first time? the Babylonians. – They want the Jews dead.
who destroyed it the second time? the Romans. – They want them dead.
who expelled the Jews? the Romans did. – They want them dead again.
where did the Jews flee to? Europe – They are not exactly welcome but accepted them for the “financial management skills” so they let them stay.
Who banished the Jews from Europe? the Christians – They want them dead because they killed their “god”.
who offered the Jews protection and sanctuary? the Muslims – But now they want them dead too! 😯

What has gone wrong with the original Abrahamic faith?
Is it because they claim themselves to be the worthy ones?

Judging from the history … the Jews cannot be leader nor form their own state and if they do they would be destroyed again and again …

Why do people hate Jews so much I don’t know …
Are you saying you hate Jews because of their occupation (I use the world loosely) of Palestine?

That does not make sense coz Jews have been hated throughout their existence judging from their history so make up your mind … if you don’t like them just say so and try not to pussy foot around trying to use other issues to justify your hatred.

If history is right then Israel will be destroyed in future and you will have a hand in its destruction since you hate Israel that much … blood on your hand I am afraid. You compassion for another human being … ya right … out the windows … double talk fork tongues … 😆

On the one hand you really feel that they should all vanish from this earth like the time in WWII …

On the other hand you want to be seen as the champion of moral rights etc so you realise you have difficulty justifying the WWII action, yet deep down you hate them so much to the core you are tempted to justify that WWII action don’t you?

Now you have a problem … Ya, you need to justify your action … 😆

Ya, you nasty! You bad! 😛

you say that Jerusalem isnt important in Islam

    @gonzy
I didn’t say Jeruslaem wasn’t important to Islam, I did say it wasn’t as important to them as Jews or indeed Christians. Mecca is more important than Jerusalem.

It’s also quite ridiculous to suggest Israel is allowing Jews to vandalise Temple Mount, the number of Jewish visitors averages less than 5 people a day and I have never ever seen anything about vandalism. It is Palestinians who are vandalising Jewish holy sites most recently again firebombing Joseph’s tomb. The Isreali government prevents Jews from praying at The site of Temple Mount even though it’s a Jewsih holy site which predates Islam. The current troubles have been whipped up by Palestinian leaders spreading false rumours.

So @gonzy did you know the Grand Mufti who had been the leader of the Palastinian Arabs since 1921 had lived in Berlin, cozied up to the Nazis, worked to prevent Jews leaving Germany for Jerusalem and been instrumental in the formation of a Nazi SS brigade ? I certainly didn’t before this week. FWIW I don’t think the Grand Mufti was responsible for the shift towards exterminating the Jews but it certainly looks to me like he played an active part.

@seaso there is NEVER going to be a one state solution. The Oslo accord provided a 2 state solution model which was accepted by the PLO and rejected by Hamas, hence the mess we have today. Palestinians register as refugees as they get money from the UN as a result. 700,000 people where displaced by the formation is Isreal yet today there are 5 (?) million Palestinian refugees. All Palestinians where offered Isreali or Jordanian citizenship (West Bank was in Jordan)

Are you saying you hate Jews because of their occupation (I use the world loosely) of Palestine?

    no i dont hate Jews.
we are all essentially of the same faith…just different variations. we share the same prophets in our beliefs and as you rightly pointed out both Islam and Judaism can trace their lineage back to Abraham. his first born Ishmael is revered as one of the patriarchs of Islam and his second son Isaac is revered as one of the patriarchs of Judaism.

my beef is with the Zionist government and its illegally inhumane and barbaric policies against the Palestinian people. Zionism has nothing to do with Judaism, so i suppose that makes me an anti-Zionist.

zionism is to judaism what ISIS is to Islam

Everyone can see it except the zionists who think you must hate jews if you criticise what Israel does- I suspect ISIS think the same.

Anti semitism is just a lazy slur zionists use as even they know its nigh ion impossible to defend what israel does. Imagine Iraq took over Israel and did to the jews what israel does to Palestine.

the very partition plan the uk govt declined to implement and co operate with- that one?

Arab leaders and governments rejected the plan of partition in the resolution[7] and indicated an unwillingness to accept any form of territorial division.[8] They argued that it violated the principles of national self-determination in the UN charter which granted people the right to decide their own destiny.[6

They did have a pretty good point to be fair
It also reasonable to say both sides have done things that did not help peace but peace rarely starts with implementing land grabs for a minority people against the majority

zionism is to judaism what ISIS is to Islam

    Okay …
    Zionism = extreme Judaism,
    ISIS = extreme Islam.

    Let’s try this logic …

Does that mean extreme Judaism or Zionism was the reason that Jews (no distinction between extreme or moderate ones) have been prosecuted since their inception?

The second question is how can they be all extreme for so long without learning the lesson from the past since the Egyptian time?

The 3rd question does that mean the same await Islam because like the Zionist they are hell bend on their extreme views?

    😯

Its so clear you dont want to defend what you are trying to defend that you wont even try.

You want my opinion don’t you? You want? I know you want!

    Very simple.

Give that piece of land to Israel or the Jewish people.

Then move the entire population of Palestine to Syria to replenish the migrated population. Plenty of space and plenty of land, then if they wish they can start fighting amongst themselves as much as they like. Everyone’s happy.

    Problem solved.

I don’t think anyone here is condoning it, are they? I suppose we can only speculate on the mindset of the Israeli Jew who stabbed an Israeli Jew supermarket-worker in a case of mistaken identity, shouting “you are bastard Arabs”, but we do know for a fact that overwhelmingly, the victims of the violence are Palestinian.

would what include the Arab citizens? i dont get your point here?…explain or put it into context…its Friday before half term and i’m winding down.

just because they are moving freely in their places of employment…do you think that they are suddenly treated with some form of dignity and respect? how else would you expect them to carry out their jobs…chained to a desk or being in a chain gang whilst being overseen by a trigger happy IDF officer?
yes there are Arab Israeli citizens, many of whom who live in Israel as they have been lucky enough to not have their land/property seized to make way for settlers…but just because they have citizenship, do you think they are afforded the same basic rights as a Jewish Israeli citizen? and how many security checkpoints did they have to go through to get to work? how many got turned away at those checkpoints?

Black South Africans moved freely and had citizenship in South Africa during the years of Apartheid…but that meant absolutely f*** all when it came to their basic legal and constitutional rights….the same as in Israel/Palestine

I knew that but that’s because I don’t get my news and history from YouTube or Vice. he was a irrelevance to what actually happened in WW2, the holocaust and just about everything after. it was an absurd claim by Netanyahu if only because it suggested that the GM had any influence outside his family.
