0 lbs and 0oz's.
Don't have one (yet). 🙂
Officialtob is in the lead ( for now ) !
My Cube is about 10 kg , but my new Carbon Dolan with Hope Hoops and a 105 groupset , not sure as only got half the bits. Ask me again in a fortnight or so.............
17lb dead.
I've had it down to 16.5lb with lighter tyres, it's got some right hefty 25c "endurance" tyres on it at the moment.
Not bad for an XL aluminium framed S-Works.
Mine used to be a shade under 17lbs, now it has mudguards and 5 lights hanging off it - god knows!
Not a clue. In the thousands of miles I have ridden it I haven't really ever worried enough to weigh it. 2009 Genesis Flyer singlespeed by the way.
Crazy-legs that is decent indeed considering the tyres. Columbus E5 tubing?
16lbs Giant TCR, goes very fast down hills with my 224lbs upon it
8kg on the nose. Without pedals
Not that light, but not heavy either. Bet mine cost a fraction of the Look too!
16lb 9oz for my Giant TCR Advanced with two bottle cages, pedals and the little garmin forward mount doodah.
Pretty impressive there Crazy Legs.
Damitamit , 7.3kg with TWO bottle cages! Very good 🙂
Mboy, it is a costly bike but I bought the frame and forks of the STW classifieds and sold my old frame on here as well to help with costs and I just used my parts that was on the old frame.
17lb 6oz for my 58cm Litespeed tuscany, 21lb 8oz for
My 853 steel bike thats with full mudguards. Twim bottle cages on both bikes aswell.
mine weighs about 10lbs . . .
more, than any of the other bikes in this thread.
however i weigh about 12 stone . . .
more, than most of the people in the uk . .
(charge filter, discs, guards, lights, etc)
feels ok to ride though, a 27lb bike is still light when its under me lol.
~6.6kg with pedals, two bottle cages and computer. The saddle pack with spare tubes probably just about makes it UCI legal.
Mine is 16 pounds and 13 ounces aka 7,3kg
7.6kg I'm afraid.
Damitamit , 7.3kg with TWO bottle cages! Very good
Thanks. 22g each 🙂 And there's a Garmin Dakota mount on there.
Crazy-legs that is decent indeed considering the tyres. Columbus E5 tubing?
Not got a pic of it online at the moment. Had one on whatever that photo-hosting site was that went bust but not on my active flickr account. It's very similar to this (nicked off Google Images):
Yes, E5 tubing, everything else is carbon - seatpost, stem, bars, full carbon forks. It's got a full 10sp Dura Ace groupset and some lovely light American Classic Sprint 350 wheels.
Just rebuilt it after a winter strip & clean so it's immaculate at the moment, will try and get some photos before I get it filthy again!
wow, seriously impresssed, that's getting very close to tdf minimum weight.
tdf minimum weight is heavy tbh (well if you hang about on http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/)
Oh and 22lb 4oz for my winter Trek road bike, with bottle cages and chromoplastics. No wonder the Giant feels so fast come the summer!
Btw, is there a minimum weight limit for MTB set by UCI?
It weighs exactly the same as my 29er Inbred - that's what I use,but with slicks on......
'best' bike is 15.4lb with pedals and cages, just to balance it I'm maintaining my own weight the wrong side of 14st
Btw, is there a minimum weight limit for MTB set by UCI?
I believe it's the same as for road bikes - I doubt it's an issue though, especially given that if anything race MTBs have got a bit heavier recently with the trend towards full-sus and/or bigger wheels.
No idea what any of my bikes weigh .
Is it important ?
😛
Btw, is there a minimum weight limit for MTB set by UCI?
No, MTBs are not subject to any weight limitations.
wow, seriously impresssed, that's getting very close to tdf minimum weight.
TdF min wight is 15lb (6.8kg) brought in at a time when riders were routinely drilling frames/parts to save weight, it was designed to stop them doing that for safety.
However, it's not kept up with innovation and it's actually relatively easy to buy an off-the-peg road bike which is well under 15lb. Custom spec it and you can get to to 12lb without going *too* silly.
They also brought in a rule to say that all the weight has to be fixed/structural to stop riders putting small lead weights under the BB.
If only the UCI could actually concentrate on - ooh, I dunno - eradicating doping within the sport maybe?
just weighed my CAAD4 R500 and measured 9.1 kg 🙁
it does have two bottle cages and a computer/watch on it, but I'd love to work out where the rest of the excess is. It has a 105 groupset. Do you have carbon seatpost. bars etc - I dont. How to find those extra kgs?
13.4 lbs without pedals for my storck.
I'm 5'7" and weight under 11st so it is a fairly small frame!
No idea what any of my bikes weigh .
Is it important ?
Never used to think so but after peddling a heavy steel winter bike for the last 5 months and then swinging a leg over a bike weighing at least 2.5kg less I can say that yes it is important. Important may be the wrong description but the difference is incredible.
No, MTBs are not subject to any weight limitations.
I've double checked, and the UCI weight regulation doesn't mention specific disciplines (unlike other rules) - therefore it must apply to all. http://www.uci.ch/Modules/BUILTIN/getObject.asp?MenuId=MTkzNg&ObjTypeCode=FILE&type=FILE&id=34033&LangId=1 - regulation 1.3.019
I know this Neilywheel, and I was only half joking 😉
I love the difference when I jump on my summer bike ,but I have never weighed it,or the winter/CX/commuter/tourer .
should have had a pic with the previous...

13.4 lbs without pedals or cages. tickles 14 with them
Nice!
You could shed a bit of eight if you slammed those bars and lost some spacers Matt! 😉
Stock 54cm Felt AR5 with pedals and bottle cages weighs in at about 8.5kg..
dirtyrider, what build spec are those Enve's?

Little bits everywhere.
Carbon (Canyon) post, alu (ritchey WCS) bar and stem
1300g wheelset (stans alpha without stickers to keep the 'looks cheep'/sleeper illusion)
FSA carbon chainset
DA7800 groupset
Planet X brakes
Ultremo ZX tyres
Conti supersonic tubes
I paid £300 for the whole bike with tiagra s/h in 2004, then spent about £900 to lose the weight. The onyy standard bits are the frame and fork. I started by stripping and weighing each components, then seeing how much weight I could squeeze off without going silly, the criteria was it had to cost less in total than a new CAAD10 105 whilst manageing to be significantly lighter.
My Allez is about 22.5lbs, my Madone is 16 and a bit with Race X Lites IIRC, not weighed it for ages!
The red stem and Nokons on that Storck is gopping, looks good otherwise!
Most of these would weigh even less if they were properly sorted with slammed stems.. what are all those spacers about?
My Raleigh Carbon Comp comes in at about 17lbs with RS80's and Ultremo ZX's.
what are all those spacers about?
Going fast rather than looking cool.
Dunno how much my Roubaix weighs but it's getting lighter... just fitted some Planet X brakes and now Michelin Pro 3 Light tyres with latex inner tubes. Latex tubes are LOVELY!
how do people weigh their bikes? and why all the weights "without pedals" do you ride it without pedals?
I remember putting my road bike on the bathroom scales and it was about 18lbs I think, but I doubt that was very accurate at all.
I've got some Park digital scales but they only go up to 3kg.
mines about 28lbs. 30lbs with packup on board.
5.5kg!!!
it depends if I wave my willy clockwise or anticlockwise as that changes the gravitational influence on the mass of the bike 😛
My Parlee z5's 15.lbs.
Not having trained much for a few years I had to put some spacers back on my road bike last year as my belly was in the way - 30 seconds on the drops and I couldn't breathe! Most of these would weigh even less if they were properly sorted with slammed stems.. what are all those spacers about?
why all the weights "without pedals"
"all" appears to be 2 so far - and one of those is also quoting a weight with. What I want to know is why all the imperial weights - is everybody here stuck in the 20th century?
question still stands, why (all) the weights without pedals?
Do I really have to go out to the garage and weigh the damn thing? Do I? It's ligther than my MTB, and we'll leave it at that!
I know plenty of good riders who have a few spacers. They actually use the drops....
Brakes you will find that it is the norm to state the weight of a medium frame without pedals.
This is just based from memory reading reviews .
question still stands, why (all) the weights without pedals?
Cos road bikes are never sold with pedals. Roadies are a strange bunch who will want to go and choose for themselves from one of the 814 different clipless pedal/shoe systems on the market. Hence the weight can vary depending on what the buyer subsequently fits. The weight is quoted without as that's what you're buying at point of sale.
MTbers are happy just be to sold a set of mid-range Shimano clipless and left to it.

I work in a shop.
You ever seen a road bike above about £500 come with any pedals fitted?
You'll find weights qouted without pedals is fairly common. Been using some heavy M530 MTB SPD's on mine through the winter so I can wear my goretex boots. About to swap out to some Look Keo 2 Max's (about half the weight) soon. Customers are free to fit their own pedals (some weigh as little as 150g a pair, some as much as 600g a pair) so quoting weights with pedals within the industry is kind've pointless/inaccurate and nobody really does it.
For anyone interested, my bike is 8.6kg with heavy cages and M530 pedals (pedals weigh 460g the pair!). It's an off the shelf 2013 Merida Scultura 904 comp, except for an upgrade from 105 to Ultegra. Wheels are relatively heavy Mavic Aksium's, tyres I've swapped out to 25c Durano's (Ultremo's would save 200g off the weight of the bike at least!), but importantly the frame is only 1100g and the fork is sub 400g, so with money thrown at it, it would easily go sub UCI weight limit.
Most importantly though, it's 600g lighter than my Boss' Pinarello Quattro with Ultegra Di2 fitted, and 300g lighter than a stock Pinarello Quattro with mechanical Ultegra! 🙂
I weighed mine only yesterday by coincidence.
Including pedals, bottle cage/mount, cadence sensor and Exposure bracket, it's 15lbs 8oz. Not bad for a fairly robust XL.
15lbs on the nose with pedals, cage and k-edge garmin mount. Will be sub 15 when I grow some and buy that cassette mat shotbolt was trying to sell me other day. It now has Sram not shimano which is considerably lighter..
(Off topic) Mat - can you tell Rob I'm in a meeting and I'll ring him on my way home?)
i run spacers to allow me to use the drops and to cover long distances without needing neck surgery!
the headtube on the Storck is 115mm and i have 32" and a bit legs so need as much front end height as is sensible.
question still stands, why (all) the weights without pedals?
Do you ask what shoes people wear as well, they vary in weight even more than pedals!
Usualy they're quoted without pedals/cages/garmin mounts/fluffy dice when you're buying/selling it. For every other occasion it's as it is ready to ride (although mine was weighed when it was built, so no cage/garmin).
Mathew, what what crankset is that on your Stork? Stunning looking bike btw
Mat - put a pic up of the new Bitsa!
The now unavailable Easton ec90 chainset.
Wish i had stocked up before they stopped them!
bitsa race bike (only had to purchase the frame as all other parts found in boxes in the attic!

really impressed with the frame given its all alloy.
I want one of those, badly....is that the standard fork in it?
How much are they again?
We're like a tactical guerilla marketing campaign...
If I was that worried about how much my road bike weighed, I wouldn't have put a Brooks saddle on it.
But that Brooks saddle still feels lovely 100 miles into a ride.
Mat - we need to have a talk about that alloy storck. I [s]want[/s] need one
don't believe all my hype Will, i was only averaging 23.5mph on my training runs!
Jesus really? Cancel that order, I'm ooot
Is it a harsh ride? As in similar to that Olympia thing I had? Or is it more comfy? And will it take a set of crud race guards?
clearnace is tight for cruds but please believe me when i say, the most surprising thing about the frame is its comfort. we did 50mi the other day and i got off feeling fresh!
