Why did they only let 5 of the lapped cars (those between max and hamitlon) through and not the others?

Wow, what a farce. I can’t help feeling this isn’t the end of it, this will be dragged through the courts for a while to come.

I hope Mercedes don’t appeal…would be bad for the sport. I think Max’s pole lap yesterday showed what a great (if controversial) driver he is.

Mercedes just need to come back next year and destroy the field.

Before the race it was fair to say both drivers deserve to win the championship (just about!)

After the race Hamilton and Mercedes definitely deserved it.

Horner can never complain about RB being unfairly treated again. Just got gifted the race after their driver totally failed to catch someone on much older tyres.

Agreed. Not sure it’s been a sport for years, but that was pure managed-for-TV entertainment for the purposes of the owner’s shareholders.

If Max had won by being fastest today then fine, I’d have said well done and well deserved.

That was just a farce. I’ve been watching since Rosberg won in 82 but I won’t bother now if the rules aren’t applied fairly.

I don’t think Mercedes will appeal I would be surprised if they don’t exit in a few years this is not sport, the whole season has been tainted.
