You guys can pretend different all you like – the evidence is clear. I full accepted the plaudit of being Millie Tant early on in this.

Thing is though right, wether you agree with TJ or not, he does at least have the balls to voice his opinions and stick by them, and offer justification for them, whereas yer Capn Flash and others just crawl back under their stones when challenged, with bugger all intelligent to say. TJ can pwn them any time. I’ve seen very little on this thread in the way of intelligent, reasoned argument against TJ’s views.

Ultimately, people know A+A is about the objectification of people and treating them as sex objects. That’s the bit TJ has a problem with. Personally I don’t have a problem with that, as long as the subject of the images has consented to said objectification. What I do find far disturbing is the comments. And several women who’ve posted on STW have told me they object to some of the misogynist and downright disrespectful attitudes.

What’s got some of your knickers in a twist, is that TJ has got under your skin and challenged your views. If you are completely comfortable with having such views, why react in such an abusive and insulting manner towards him? Why not simply say that you don’t agree, and put forward your own argument in an intelligent and thoughtful manner? As TJ does. Resorting to petty insults and cowardly tags is just pathetic and shows you up as someone who can’t engage with a debate on a more intellectual level.

A bit of banter and that is ok I spose. I stick to the ‘don’t say owt to someone you wouldn’t say to their face’ mantra. In fact I’d probbly be a whole lot less restrained in ‘real life’. This applies to things you’d say about women, gay people, brown people, disabled people etc. I suspect most of the worst culprits of offensive attitudes are likely too cowardly to say owt similar in real life, hence why they need a forum to express their views. I think there’s nowt wrong with showing admiration for the male or female form, according to your own preference. There is something wrong with openly treating someone with disrespect, and reducing them to nothing more than an object for sexual gratification. But I don’t spose some of the little bubble dwellers on here understand the distinction.

Because as TandemJeremy has shown on many occasions he is not looking for a debate, or a discussion about a different viewpoint. He is merely looking for everyone to agree with him and, when they don’t, he either refers to them as stupid, puerile or ignorant or pretends his comments where made in jest and purely to wind people up.

I stick by my previous statement. He’s a virtual bully and is more likely to have scared people (both male and female) away from this forum than any number of Friday Kylie/A&A threads because of his responses to people who dare to disagree with his opinion on a wide range of unrelated subjects.

FFS I’ve been actually working today and missed all the fun.

My perspective :

TJ is not a bully. His opinions are well articulated and defended with humour. To all those slagging him off I’d simply say this – if you do not have the wit or other skills to argue against him in a coherent manner then it’s you with the problem.

That said TJ is talking utter bollocks in this case.

Lets not kid ourselves, Friday kylie and A & A are just tits and arse for mountain bikers on a Friday afternoon at work. It has no deeper meaning, it is a bit childish and sometimes the comments on there are pretty juvenile. All those things accurately reflect the majority of people who use this forum. Most middle aged, middle class men like looking at snatch, the threads in question pander to that without crossing to far into territory that would compromise the future of this forum.

TJ – I applaud your tenacity, but it’s time to realise that no-one else cares that much.

I would also submit (with as much proof as TJ has that womem are put off the forum by the A&A threads) that he is more guilty than anyone of putting people off the the forum, both male and female, by his constant bullying, belittling, patronising and self-righteous attitude when it comes to anyone who dares disagree with his opinion.
