Perhaps the WRU Should retain their appearance fee and offer refunds for ticket stubs. That was….. No other way to put it, sh!t.

They will get Annihilated by the All Blacks.

England quite obviously favorites for the 6n at the point. 😉

Yeah I too thought that Warburton was awful (but then I just think that he’s always anonymous. 1/2p was the stand out welsh player for me. Impressive from the Argie’s which is good to see, i Can’t quite believe they beat Wales by so much though, their pack doesn’t look massively heavyweight and they throw a huge number of wayward passes.

Utterly shocking from Wales. Really don’t know what they were doing – and by the look of it, neither did they!!!

    Come on Ireland! 😉

England fav for 6 nations? Hell no, we’re rubbish. We know we play badly, theres very little hope that it’ll suddenly come good and we will beat the SH 3, but we can be pleased about a good result.

Bet by Tuesday the Wrlsh are the best team in the work again (I love this attitude!)

All blacks SA game looks alright as well

Peterson (spl?) has to go off for ten at least. Nasty, nasty “tackle”.

Might be another for the afters as well….

The All Blirish are playing very well, I reckon. A great first half.

Just back from Dublin, very disappointed with the result SA were there for the beating, however I’m very positive about the future cause we have some very good young players coming through. Healy, Henry and Darcy were the pick of the Irish. Zebo was very poor at full back.

    France result looks interesting…

Australia were apparently awful, but still…

I thought that Zebo was pretty good….in the studio BOD was pretty impressed with him too.

This will appear a post to antagonise but it is not intended to do so.

Wales have looked in recent years to be moving in the right way with some good physical backs looked after by a decent set of forwards. How can they play so badly where they only managed to get into the Pumas 22 twice in the whole 80 mins. I’ve not seen the game but read reports, obviously the pumas are a decent side these days and will only get better with their regular internationals now.

So many people seem to focus on Wales being better than England and their players being better than their English counterparts that they lose sight of the whole picture? This could also be levelled at Scotland, possibly not so much Ireland. Is it due to Irelands players having more exposure at european rugby or is it something lacking from the other nations.

I must confess to a little cheer at the Welsh result, but would love to see them step up and step up a level as they can be a great team to watch. I just find it hard when they seem to focus on the beating england bit a bit too much. I dare say the players are possibly not as bad as their fans but does it rub off on them?

**** me felt like crying watching Wales yesterday WTF!!!??? fair play to argentina, wales only breaking into their 22 twice in the 80 mins!!!

i think a combinatioin of howley and warburton is the problem…. does warburton actually speak or shout during a game? howley is out of his depth get gatland back now! then again you have to blame the players way to flat, no vision yet again from some – priestland didnt see the one overlap (AGAIN!) get bigger on atleast he’s got some bollox, if the game plan aint working just go for it!

roberts hurry up and **** off to france and dont bother coming back if called up for internationals, one trick pony.

defence was ok but im dreading samoa not even thinking about nz and oz!!

then again what do i know, back to the old days unless we turn it round.

Problem with Wales is that people like Roberts cannot be bothered when playing for their regions as the teams are shite and uncompetitive but due to a chronic lack of strength in depth they still get picked for wales. This is compunded by team wales having so much power over the regions. So Wales pick a load of quality players who are playing shit and some shite players. The potential Lions cant be arsed for their clubs and will look to peak around six nations time safe in the knowledge they are undroppable for club or country. Added to this general malaise is the Fact that Howley is head coach who isnt up to the job.

Those boxes in the back of the all blacks tops, is that where they are remotely controlled by?

I wish they were so you could select the number on your remote and shock the buggers! Scotland are very poor. Jim Hamilton is useless…

Whatever it is, it isn’t as bad as the Irish away strip last night!
In fact, does any national side have a “good” away strip at the moment?

Wales will hammer them in a few weeks time!!! 😀

    CaptainFlashheart

So, after the first week, what can we gather?

England looked OK, but against not exactly stunning oposition.
Wales looked awful. No, beyond awful. Utter pish.
France? Well, Australia weren’t on form, but sounds like France were rather clinical.
Ireland? Not too bad, but just lacking that last move/pass etc.
Scotland? Brave performance, some nice stuff (Only saw the second half), but still a step or three behind the SH teams overall.
Argetina? Always like the way they play the game, and they just seem to be improving year on year. Good for them!
SA? Scrappy, but effective. A win’s a win.
NZ? Well, as good as ever, really. Impressive.

Anyone got a good round up of all the other international scores this weekend? Italy were playing Tonga, I think. And more besides.

Yep I’d agree with that Flashy….I really didn’t rate either Ireland or SA though. I thought that SA looked like they were there for the taking but Ireland didn’t really look capable of scoring. Fiji were dire so hard to judge England. The All Blacks didn’t look too bad!

Flash I think you are going a bit easy on Wales 😆 my school second 15 played with more heart and commitment.

AA I agree McCaw and co will be having sleepless nights thinking about Cardiff and the mountain they have to climb 😉

Three fricking tries from giving away the humping ball! Jeez…Still scoring three tries in any game for us,let alone the A-B’s is a step in the right direction.

As for the Welsh, not often a Scot can do this but (points at AA) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I’m just glad you are happy when conceding 50 points Ducky!!

On a serious note, only game I watched was the Scotland one. Jury still out on McVisser, he was awol on defence a lot.

I was impressed with the Cross try, all to often Scotland have conspired to knock on, turnover the ball etc in a similar position.

Defence was poor which is annoying because in the past we have defended well but never looked like scoring yesterday was the opposite. Maybe one day we will put a full performance together.

Edit: I agree re Visser, i think he is possibly the best finisher in the UK at present but by no means the best winger. However i don’t think Scotland can leave him out with our scoring record.

IMO thats sums up the Andy Robinsons selection tactics – Player does one thing well a few times, therefore he’s international standard.

I think McVisser should certainly be in the scotland team but for such a big lad he doesnt seem to punch his weight either in defence or carrying into contact. He’s as big as Roberts or North but doesnt use the size as well

Well AA; on the way your boys played on Saturday that will be an achievement. Serves them right mind,if as you were saying just 12 short months ago, Warburton is Lions skipper material, why not play him… 😈

McVisser is in the press up here saying what a shock that was after playing Fiji and Samoa. Describes how first time he got the ball he got the door closed on him by large AB forward. That was a step above anything he has played. When he first arrived over here he was gash, he has done whatever he has needed to step up to the next level I think he will fit the bill nicely.

Smiley added to show tongue firmly in cheek 🙂

    Banahan?

I think I said earlier in this thread (or could have been the last one with TJ) that I’d wait to see what McVisser did when faced with international opposition. Jury is still out (as it would be for any first cap – won’t write him off yet!)

Looking forward to next weekend already!
