Of course the family always say they were a wonderful person, we all know that and take it with a pinch of salt, its more worrying when the police use their media links to provide mis-information, they should know better and have the experience and knowledge to avoid lying (if they want to).

Any sane individual should know that the police will colour the story in their favour, as i said earlier everyone has an agenda, so don’t believe anything you are told at face value. I doubt we will ever know the truth.

The deceased knows what he knows, but can’t tell his story, and the police officers know what they know, everyone else, the witnesses, families, authorities don’t know what was going on inside the heads of those involved..

By the way, I don’t think Dugann is a hero or anything silly, I think he is a bit part player in local crime, but he was armed and the police were right to apprehend him, something went wrong, maybe he gave the impression he was raising the gun, maybe the gun squad were a bit twitchy, either way Dugann has ended up dead. That#s not the officers fault, Dugann had an illegal firearm.

But right from the start, the police have been playing the media game, and know they must take some of the responsibility for inflaming the situation.

slight reword, the police will give a version based on what they believed, it may not be the truth, but it is what they believed to be true. And because we will never know what the other story was to take the police side as the absolute truth is naive.

The human mind is a wonderful thing but it so often wrong in what it remembers.
