Indeed. I just chose the two first things that came to mind that I dislike and googled them with the added term “death threats”. Hardly means that fans of either football or Made in Chelsea are all like that, does it? Reductio ad absurdum a little, I agree, but pretty much up there with the “anyone who likes Top Gear is a racist” type of hyperbole that gets spouted! 😀
