There is another option. It may seem a bit crazy but here I go anyway. We could all meet up in a well publicised area, then ride to the nearest pub, eat and drink and talk about bikes and stuff. Then we pretend we've been out riding.

On completely the other end of the scale, I've heard that there's this stuff which you can drop from planes that warms the ground up. I assume it would melt the snow ultra fast enabling us to ride on dry dusty trails. I think it's called napalm? Surely that must be of use to us in some way.

I think a plastic sheet in the camelbak to sledge down the hills will be a genius option looking at those pics. 😀

just checked my bike over and the front brake still works even after my ham fisted bleeding of it so it looks like i'm all set to go.

might end up getting the train over as i'm still without a car.

Big orange survival bag at the ready, but if the ride is viable, I could bring along the Maxlight XC. Snow is all gone here in Doncaster, it took some heavy rain to clear it. Where does the snow start at? Looking at the Outside shop webcam, Hathersage/Stanage seem fairly clear.

    Ohh very tempting…………….

Havent got any off road disco slippers though 🙁 been using my roadie shoes for the last few months, no need for anything more round here as there are no slippery rocks!

It's also crap unless you do 3 laps at speed.

Think we should stick to dark peak and ride/walk a route.

i know not for this one, but how long do you think it will be untill cut gate is rideable? i really enjoyed tht path when i rode it in 2008, so we should plan that for another one?
