Those stay bridges look a bit gash… I'd like to see one built up.

(New batch includes brake stiffener bridge)

Yikes! thats horrid! I wonder if they have checked what brake calipers will fit and if it will interfere with brake hose routing on the slot-drop?

What on earth happened with that bridge between the seat and chain stays?

And shiny looks cheap. Which is good because they are…..

Good. They've finally sorted the design-flaw in my eyes. Stop it being soo bloody noodly.

Did you go for the old style too ? or a new shinny one ?

    Hummmm.
I paid £1100 or thereabouts a year ago.
    Now they're £799.

Don't care for the extra stutt.

Mine's in the matt Ti colour & not the shiney one in these on-line pictures.

I got one in the last sale with matt finish and it’s fantastic, I rally do love it. I just want to go out and ride it everyday. For £799 There is noting else that can compete with it in my eyes anyway.

I got an old style satin SS 29er, mmmm…..

Stop it, I'm trying to convince myself that a 29er Scandal is fine and that I'd be no happier with a Ti one…

Satin is the way forward. Gok Wan would agree…. 😆

I prefer the shiney by a looooooong way.

Matte one looks old and worn and thats not a good look for a bling Ti frame.

Sorry bit OT but is this bike a XC bike, suitable for a pump track or a jump bike or something else? – I'm not sure what it's optimised for? (im 6ft and 190lb) am I too heavy & would 18" or 20" be my size?(usually I ride a large cannondale or Santa cruz if that helps)
From the ultimate TI hardtail i quite liked the sound of the Ragley, better looking (imho) and sounded stronger I thought, but £799 is quite a bit cheaper it has to be said

Unlikely to be any weaker – I think the R is lighter.
An 18, but check with On-one first. I'm 5:10.5 with a 31 inside leg in trews and I have an 18.
I've taken mine on the Black at Glentress, Red at Dalby and Afan's White's, Mayhem & Pairs at Bonty 24 for starters.
They're not for getting big air.

    It's rather tempting isn't it

Apart from being shiney and a bit lighter would it actually be any better than my 853 Inbred though?

If you are on the STW ride on 01 Nov, help yourself to her if you wish.
That goes for anyone else (think he should be on commission!).

Photos would suggest the 29er does not not have the brace ?

29er: £800 = 4 x Scandal. Not much (if any) lighter, so not worth it in my eyes.
456: Loads lighter than steal, so probally worth it.

Phew, my credit can can relax a little now.

Are you saying the Scandal 29er is £200?

I've only had one titanium frame, it was the feel more than the weight that made me fall for it – felt way smoother than anything before it, just superb, I probably would have dismissed it as hype if I hadn't experienced it myself.
Its a luxury "but you're worth it!"

Mates 18" 456 arrived yesterday, only seen it fresh out of the box but it really is a lovely looking and feeling thing.

The guy with the damaged frame, how?

Are you 'large', big drop, what size frame etc?

New ones connect to dropouts differently, oh, and mates is built up and looks even better. We were wondering how they have come apart in the past as well.
