Notice – STW any issues ?

I was looking to send a message to someone. However their last reply was quite long in terms of text, now when i go to the messages i can’t scroll down to the empty area i need to click into. It’s simply not allowing it.

Different browsers, different machines/phones. Still the same

That’s exactly the issue I came here to report, and I was trying to message you! I was going to offer you cash money for that Sram lever tool if you can stick it in the post asap.

But yeah, direct messages not working. Just a long white column extending off the screen with no way to type or submit messages. Tried resizing and zooming in and out etc.

Posting Images wont work properly until we rewrite the 3rd party code that does it or find a suitable replacement. Its probably a little way down our list. Apologies for this.

I finally posted on the classifieds by reducing the images to about 0.4mb and uploading them from my PC desktop.

The password reset email still doesn’t actually contain a link to reset the password, can this be sorted pls?

FRIDAY UPDATE

Password email link is fixed now.
Still waiting for WP VIP to come up with a solution for the image upload problem. It’s related to the fact that there are certain folders on WP VIP servers that are always read only – this conflicts with the settings required in the image upload plugin. We are working on a workaround for that – one that doesn’t involve us forking the plugin.

I’m currently working on ad performance and it’s baking my noodle so I may knock off for a beer soon.

Account access issues should be ironed out now but if anyone is still having any login or ad issues where their shouldn’t be ads (Full members) then use my email over the weekend and I’ll give it a go. mark@singletrackworld.com

I’ve deactivate the smilie plugin as it was annoying people. We’ll get the standard smilies back as soon as we get to them on the list.

Can’t think of anything else right now but I’m sure there’s more. I may update again later when I think of stuff.

Oh yes. 502 T-shirts. Arriving with us next week. Delay, according to our supplier, was their mad rush to provide thousands of t-shirts to Glastonbury. Our supplier is based in Bristol.

When i visit the home page, if i want the ads to go away i need to click on my profile.

It accepts i am one of the chosen, then i navigate from there.

It’s not ideal, but i have a longer fuse than most i think.

Be nice if you could sort out the ‘Wordle’ graphics.

The indices on the forum pages are different when not logged in (out of date) compared to being logged in, when you suddenly discover a world of new posts

ernie, I’m unclear on your membership status. You show as a freeloader (like me), which means that you can’t “like” posts. Your post implies that you should be a full member??

I’m unable to read the “Bikemon Go” article. Apparently “there is more to this story, but I need to be logged in to read it”. I’ve tried logging out and back in to no avail.

Maybe I’ll just have another cup of tea and actually do some work 🙁

I can post on the members only bit of the forum and I seem to have all the other benefits, great benefits may I add, of being a full member.

not a full member and have used messaging very sporadically, there are a few conversations there that i would like to delete but clicking the delete button does nothing, either on the conversation or individual message.

And to move between the conversations by clicking on the profile does nothing. I have to control click ‘open in new tab’ to get to that conversation.

would like to delete some old messages and I way want to send one in the future if possible.

Classifieds issue which started as not being able to upload photos has now matched others’ issues of not being seen as logged in.

I just want to try sell a bike!

I can see yellow like symbols and numbers on old posts but it looks like over last few days no more post are being liked by me or anyone else because they are all grey with no numbers.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but the forum is often very slow to update for me, I have to constantly do a force-refresh (ie ctrl+F5 instead of just F5) in order to get things to show up properly.

On the list, it’ll often show a thread as updated eg “2 minutes ago by userX” when that was actually half an hour ago and there’s been 3 posts since then.

On a thread, it might stop at a random time and not show recent posts at all until I do the force refresh.

Funny thing is the post count seems to be accurate even if it doesn’t show all of them until refreshed.

Seems to be happening on 2 different PCs and different browsers (Chrome and Firefox), also in private mode where (as I understand it) there should be no local cache to start with anyway.

Lots of issues logging on today, it couldn’t log on for several hours, and then I could and then not again. I had to do some work FFS.

On 2 different computers and browser caches cleared to eliminate local issues.

I couldn’t login on my laptop yesterday (MacBook using Chrome and safari). It rejected my password and the reset password email link did not work. I saw your post from a few days ago saying this was fixed

Strangely I can login this morning so can’t retest the password reset for fear of not being able to login again

I can only check back and forth between page 1 and page 2 of Topics in Bike or Chat forum. I do not have access to the 78 pages worth of Topics, where have they gone?

Tested on my works laptop and iphone, both had the same problem.
