Blimey , just finished season 1 of Gangs of London.

same. proper LOL at whoever considered it “plausible” earlier in the thread. It’s one of the silliest things I’ve ever seen!

That were me. In my defense I was only into the first episode by then and had no idea it was going to go so much less plausibler. 😉

Still, at least it’s actually on Netflix, unlike most recommendations lately in this Netflix thread!

Watched A Man Called Otto tonight.

    Really enjoyed it and cried

44 inch chest on prime is very good. Only a few days left before it’s gone. Ray Winstone, Ian mc Shane and John hurt being gangsters.

A man called Otto is very good (book is definitely worth a read) I’m enjoying Landsman and have just started The gentleman

    Arcane.

Just… wow. I don’t think I’ve ever watched anything quite so good. Everything about it is just incredible: story, art, sound…

Just finished S2 episode 6 and I think I need a moment or three to recover. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster.

Good grief it’s dusty in here. Someone open a window

We watched A man on the Inside at the weekend. It’s Michael Schur’s latest, so typically heartwarming without being schmaltzy. It’s just one self-contained series, in case you were worrying about Netflix cancelling it on a cliffhanger…

iPlayer has a two-part doc “Hunting Mr Nice” about dope-smuggler Howard Marks and the narcs who were trying to nick him.

It’s worth a watch, good production values and tells the story well – including showing how he was his own undoing.

Went to see him tell his story at Rock City a good few years ago

    Lincoln Lawyer

    Watched S1.

Cheesy, stereotype characters, but otherwise fairly good lightweight legal drama.

we’re on episode 6 of 8, enjoying it too.  probably finish it end of the week now as im out a few nights this week.  perfect for when you want something light to watch with a feel-good factor.

Finally got around to the BBC’s Wolf Hall adaptation on iPlayer. It’s fabulous and Mark Rylance is mesmerising. Rest of the cast is superb as well.

Lincoln lawyer is perfect turbo distraction, as is new Amsterdam.

For more depth (during z2 sessions but not tough intervals) iPlayer has TTSS, smiley’s people and a perfect spy at the moment if you need a le Carre fix

Gotta agree about Wolf Hall. Sumptuous with an underlying feeling of dread. Damien Lewis does evil very well.

I’ve not watched it yet because I’ve still not read The Mirror and the Light but when Wolf Hall was on I remember thinking I’d happily just watch Mark Rylance standing still saying nothing.

If you like Mark Rylance, The Outfit is worth watching.

I’ve just added Loaded: Lads, Mags & Mayhem to my iPlayer watchlist.  Looks like it could be interesting ?
