Matt – the data from those scales has no relevance… ever.
Sack it off now and just start using a tape measure.

Or better still a pair of trousers that you became too fat to wear.

My 32″ waist chinos now fit again…

I judge these things by waiting until my mother thinks I look ill, then I know I’m at the right weight.

Haha… doesn’t matter how lean I am my Dad still tells me I’m fat!!

What I really want to know is how much easier it is to haul my ass up hills!

    much easier.

my rucksack can weigh 1stone when the PC and books etc for work are in it, really noticable on the climbs and short sharp steep inclines.

My baseline measurement will be my time at La Marmotte 🙂

about 3 weeks to go and I still want to drop another 2kg. 8kg lost so far, but there is still some hanging over the tope of my trousers (when I tighten my belt enough that is)

    Hill climb time trial then.

I find you don’t notice getting faster up hills when you ride alone, it’s only when you go out with your mates and wonder what’s wrong with them all.. 🙂

Now that’s exactly the kind of metric I’m looking for 😀

…and seeing as fathers always know whats right, that means you are.

…and to think you mocked those other fatties on Embarrassing Bodies.

    😐

If I was mocking the overweight it would be a learnt behaviour… seems like I get to blame the parents here.

She keeps visiting and leaving cakes, as it happens…

So did anyone else notice the solstace having an impact on their weight?

I’ve been doing this for a year and have lost 2.5 Stone, my wife’s lost 3 stone.
The wife spent the weekend going through some old recipe books, looking for some more variety to our meals, and discovered Gillian McKeiths “you are what you eat” contains loads of idave diet complient meals! 😯

Well i decided to go mental on my off day on saturday (i normally don’t). Had loads of bread, Cheese, Cheese toasty, coffee with milk and pasta in the evening.

Saw the biggest drop this morning to 67.7kg! 1st time i’ve been in 10st territory

(and to be honest.. i haven’t been strict since my weight seemed to regulate and I still have flapjacks, ice cream and chocolate)

Were you at a solstice banquet?

I’ve been too busy to stick to this recently, just not enough hours in the day to make suitable food and take it to work, and I’ve seen a gain of about 4lb 🙁

CK, can you not just make massive quantities at the weekend and keep it in the fridge? You only need 5 portions…

That’s assuming I have weekends free, as it is I’m working on one of 3 things approximately 12-14 hours a day 7 days a week at the moment, I rely on my food being cooked by my other half who’s been equally busy this last week. Managed to do some last night which should see the end of the week out at least, then next week I’m away again so that’ll kill it again. It’s just not a convenient diet in a modern society!

Well there’s your trouble, right there.

Oh and btw, modern society doesn’t have to mean that kind of work 🙂
