I think it’s quite a good story to be honest, he is a right manipulative git and shows how people can be undermined quite easily…. Mind you Helen is not what could be described as a hard nut to crack…. Not that she deserves it… And that’s saying something…

I usually only get to listen to the omnibus, so not sure what he’s been up to this week, but I hope he meets a sticky end soon. Great scriptwriting though.

I don’t think he’s poisoning her – although I think it’s suggested he drugged her to get her pregnant? He’s just gradually chipping away at her confidence and now she has an eating disorder. Rob’s a very believable character. I just hope he gets found out – if they polish him off with a combine harvester Helen will have to be all sad and mourn the b*d. Anyone who read the full Traharn Chidley blog linked to the Sealskinz ad will see the Rob & Helen tale is very realistic.

Jack’s dementia was heartbreaking, but for believable, slowburning scriptwriting brilliance, the aftermath of Cathy’s rape – Kenton’s shallowness, her isolation, the disintegration of the relationship with Jamie.
Tough one to listen too, but so well done.
