I watched it on Monday and was simultaneously confused about what he was getting so upset about and reinforced in my belief that he’s actually a bit of a **** (post-Laverne twitter shenanigans). I also thought the young hippy hoppy Rizlas dealt with it quite entertainingly.

Incidentally, I met him while staying at Mal in Glasgow a long time ago. He was finishing up a call on his mobile outside, I said hello and he started a conversation. Thought he was a really nice bloke actually!

Ok so the format is a bit tired but he’s a fanny! Still, he plays good music on Saturdays now.

It did make me wonder what was missed but even so he came across like a bit of a cock.

Very odd behaviour – just seemed in a monumentally bad mood. He’s kind of right about how tired the format is though, but then he shouldn’t have taken the gig if he doesn’t like it.

Funny that someone whose whole persona has been how cool he is, can be so incredibly UNcool.

Just made me smile a little, I’ve no idea who the bloke is/was/whateva and still couldn’t care less, it’s all about enjoying yourself on the programme shirley, the RizzleBouys were great fun, most of the guests are to be fair, it’s a well tried and trusted format and everyone should know what to expect.
Noel is growing on me, Jupiter I’m still not that keen on.. but hey.

I read somewhere the other day (I can’t find it now) that the studio audience were pretty supportive of Huey Morgan because of a load of faffing about while trying to film (which was obviously cut out). I also find it laughable that it’s reported as storming off, when it looked more like a stroll or wander to me!

I’ve not seen the clip, but just wanted to say that having listened to more rizzle kicks stuff than I’d probably have chosen to myself (kids’ fault) they’re actually pretty bright and talented boys who are good at what they do.

If what it is that they do isn’t the sort of stuff you choose to listen to or that you like, it’s pretty arrogant to assert that that makes it rubbish imho.

Yeah I take it back actually they’re very skilled lyricists. 🙂

Thing is, I don’t think they’d describe what it is that they do as “being lyricists” and, let’s be honest, there’s plenty of critically acclaimed acts (that the singletrack music snobs approve of) whose lyrics don’t scan like great poetry when put on the page.

Have you ever read any Beck lyrics? They’re like someone’s thrown a pile of words in the air and challenged him to use them in the order they land.
