Mrs MM just fessed up that her first single was by Pinky and Perky, title unkown……

Sorry, but her claim to having ‘been young at the time’ holds no water with me….. 🙂

Can’t remember the first album but the first single was definately Paul Hardcastle -N N N N N NINETEEN

Sadly it only lasted a few hours as when we had a game of footie I had the sense to prop it up against the goalpost.

Records for goalposts, isn’t it, wasn’t it

    oh dear.

I think the first single was something deeply cool like ‘Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep’ by Middle of the Road out of the 5p bargain bin at Arnotts.

First album was definitely ‘Country Comforts’ a K-Tel classic!

    as I said, oh dear…

Now, I remember the first records I ever got – my dad brought me home a whole load of T Rex stuff, singles (Ride a White Swan, Deborah, Jeepster etc) and The Slider album. Still got them and forever grateful to the old man!
First I walked in a shop and purchased, with my own money, I think was 999 – Emergency
Album, I seem to recall being Iggy Pop – New Values.

A: Do you know, I honestly can’t remember for sure. It may have been A-ha ‘Hunting High and Low’ or possibly a Now album

first album was “Oxygene” by Jean Michele Jarre if I remember correctly, big old piece of vinyl, still not sure what I was thinking at the time. Took me a while to come round to buying singles but the first one I bought was “Two Tribes” by Frankie goes to Hollywood, 7″ picture disc. I was swayed by the fantastic baseline.

    most recent purchases……
Single : “Trashcan” by Delta Spirit – awesome feelgood song
Album : “Mellow Gold” by Beck – filling in the gaps, i-tunes makes it too easy
