Jamba knows that this is all starting to collapse

To the contrary news has been increasingly positive, I just couldn’t be bothered to post.

The thread really has deteriorated into a Remainers winge fest.

Meeting my MP tomorrow to reinforce my priorities to her for the negatiations. Then the Cotic QECP demo day 🙂

Onwards amd uowards I could not be more optimistic

    What are they?

b r – it’s not just likelihood but risk management. They’ll have to plan for the worst even if they expect the best.

Yes I know, just trying to put it in laymans terms.

    What are they?

Bendy bananas, incandescent lightbulbs and a vacuum cleaner that can tear a hole in the space-time continuum.

Oh, and a pint of champagne.

Jamba’s jumped the shark re the EMA. I could comprehend, without agreement, a position of “it’s a price worth paying because we get x y and z instead”, but to just say it doesn’t matter is blinkered fundamentalism.

Is “newt” now a euphemism for foreigner?

For all the gibes at him here and in Brussels he has almost single handedly delivered the Referendum and Brexit. Phenominal really.

No that just makes him a **** supported by a bunch of ****s.

They say that “one mans’ terrorist is another mans’ freedom fighter”.

I think in the case of Farage, it is “one mans’ hero, is another mans **** of the highest order”.

Farage is important but don’t underestimate the effect of Aaron Banks’ funding.

    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/apr/02/arron-banks-interview-brexit-ukip-far-right-trump-putin-russia

“Whatevs,” says Banks when I bring up the Electoral Commission. “I don’t give a monkey’s what the Electoral Commission says.”

No that just makes him a **** supported by a bunch of ****s.

Half the country thinks he is a saviour and deserves a knighthood.

    Welcome to divided Britain.

Seriously remainers now is the time to sit back and let the madness take its course, this is a self fulfilling prophecy. The rabid Brexiteers and poorly educated people who supported this have to step the **** up and sort this. The simple fact is that the bulk of the remain voters are better educated and financially insulated than the poor sods who supported Farage. History is littered with populist disasters and those that support such things invariably end up paying the price.

    Agreed.

Nice ride in this morning. Bit chilly but that’s over 180 miles this week. Over 200 by the time I get home.

Just thought I’d bring some cycling onto the forum – I know someone will disagree but it takes all sorts.

Isn’t cycling popular in France and Belgium?

Indeed they do. The problem is the damage they do en route.

I saw it this morning. It needs the full text for the dog-whistling plausible deniability you’d expect when it’s defended.

@matt it should not be a total surprise if EU bodies chose to relocate given Brexit. That was my point.

Had a meeting with my MP today, did not discuss Brexit. Press Regulation and anti-Semitism where the main items.

No – you wouldn’t get any change out of Gove on press regulation.

Jamba – agreed. Winding up the local MP is great fun. I’m doing it by email / letter as (cowardly Brexy in a remain constituency) he won’t hold surgeries at a time when anyone other than pensioners can get there.
I’ve got him up to 3 page replies though. Good collection of HoP stationery at our house now.

In the interests of completeness, “Police stress gang attack was ‘not a racist crime’”

    Much respect to him indeed.

Mine is PPS to the Minister for Culture, Media & Sport – which is very handy given my (minor) campaigning for Hacked Off. we didn’t much time on Brexit tbh as other issues where more pressing – just reiterated my priority was global initiatives and WTO was an acceptable outcome.

Perhaps not surprisingly she said Labour are in freefall, MPs/researches etc all desperately looking for jobs as rhey know 2020 is going to be a disaster and under Corbyn there is no sense of ever achieving anything
