Care to explain your choice of username?

The weekend i joined i had just ridden skillessly of a 4 foot rock, landed on my front wheel and then my face

Same username since pre-hack days. It’s an unimaginative mix of maiden and married names.

Drunk wife trying to remember the name of the Bruce Willis sci-fi movie. Bada boom…

My mind went blank when signing up on another site so I used the Username I had at a previous job. It tends to be free on most sites so I stuck to it.

Dinosaur called Dave innit. Rarrrgghhh! Marvellous.

My real name is Eric.

Ah!…..errr!

Probably best keep quiet.

Pre-hack it was my name. When we all had to re-register, I thought it good practice to use a pseudonym to make phishing harder.

Amongst my regular MTB peer group, I am the only professional scientist and have a moderately analytical approach to problems and vocalising my thought process, including mechanicals and riding in general.

Hence the friendly pisstake ‘thank you for the explanation Scienceofficer Burgess.’

We also have a creativeofficer in the group who does all our Jersey designs and has a real creative job too.

It’s only really an MTB moniker. Everywhere else on line, I’m bUMJAR. Deliberate letter case.

Mistumonkey, because I had a succession of Mitsubishi Pajero/Shoguns, I’ve now got a Toyota Land Cruiser so I reckon the name should now be Toymonkey!

Devoid of creative thought when registering it’s the model name for an old set of Volkl skis I had.

The night before I joined in been to a circuit training class where we’d done a lot of lunges, it was the first word that jumped into my head when I was registering.

It is Gaelic for black dog. I am Scottish and suffer from depression. It felt appropriate.

It was the name I christened my first singlespeed with, liked it so chose it too.
Its just a amalgam of a couple of Latin words that sounded good together,

now my main email address that’s a more long winded tale…

Nickname given by colleagues not long after my then manager made the mistake of promoting me to a job involving organisational skills. And used on other forums (any windsurfers / runners around?).

It was actually meant to be CaptainChaos but that had been taken.

Mine is straightforward – my main bike was an Epic (and still is) and I’m called Steve.

As a Welsh learner, found out that copa means top or summit.
So I used that. And I only post if I’ve got summit to say.
