Why is there a picture of WS with Harold Steptoe in that tweet??

So what happens to the logo case?

Rich Energy has been renamed to ‘Lightning Volt’, as of a few minutes ago. I can’t keep up with this insanity. No prizes for guessing what their new logo might be… #F1 #RichEnergy

Does this mean that WS escapes all liability for this mess? Awesome work if so

Not quite. He was named as an individual on the court appers as well as Rich Energy et al. They will be repossessing that sweet ride he has parked outside his mansion.

Yeah, looking at the new director and BDG Group they seem to specialise in winding up companies. Part of their process is to immediately change the name, wonder why?

‘We will acquire your company and you can resign and let us handle everything from that point on. Our team of lawyers, accountants and specialist negotiators will deal with everything, from preparing financial reports and negotiating with your creditors, to attending any necessary insolvency meetings.’

I noticed they dropped the reference to BDG Group in what’s recorded with Companies House.

    From BDG Group website:

Are you facing insolvency? Are all of your options exhausted? Are you resigned to your company going into administration? There is anther way! We have saved thousands of directors in the same predicament as you!

So, along with Whyte and Vin-X, another company joins in the Storey hunting. This one’s got deep pockets…

To quote someone referring to when a flying Man Utd battered a flailing Ipswich town 9-0 in the premiership…

‘This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets the flimsiest of objects’

I guess RB aren’t happy about all the times they were referred to in tweets?

I wonder if the #betterthanredbull is comparative advertising, and using a trademark with claims that can’t really be backed up.

And that’s just the UK – various jurisdictions have different rules about it.

    RIch Energy on Amazon

Some of the reviews are genius:

I will never buy this again. Takes like urin and they copied stag head logo from whyte bikes UK

This brew of sugary shite makes me go Whyte
    12 June 2019
I bought a slab of this stuff thinking it would make me drive my Corsa as fast as one of those bloke off the F1 but it turns out I’d have made better progress pedalling my proudly British made bike around my ornamental lake. Thanks for nothing Rich.

Everyone haas to try this drink!

I’m not going to write a huge storey about this product. Tastes like most other leading energy drinks but whyte not try it.

    Initially attractive, but poor follow-through
    30 July 2018
This promised so much – I thought Rich Energy would give me enough power that I could travel back to India, drive around in a fancy Mercedes powered car and beat Red Bull. Sadly, Rich Energy was full of artificial ingredients that left a bad taste in my mouth – which a cursory look at the details would have told me in advance. Instead we were headed straight to the scene of the accident. Fortunately I have many BWT Vida Water Filter Jug, White, 2.6 Litre to remove the bad taste.

    Lack of performance
    11 July 2019
So after 7 races I still wasn’t as fast as RedBull, even Williams beat me. This isn’t on, the target is to destroy RedBull. Because of this I need to leave now and throw all my toys out of our rich energy branded pram. I might try monster and it seems to work well for Mercedes.

I vaguely remember a ‘Rich Energy Gives You Horns!’ slogan, which seems familiar.

Seems more like a wealthy company joining in the fun and giving him an extra kick as he heads into oblivion. Cheap PR really.

I don’t know how to Link to twitter but this is the sort of tweet that must be pissing Red Bull off.

It’s got to be an elaborate hoax or piece of performance art. Surely.

Is this just an elaborate ploy by the Russians to make Trump’s tweets look considered and we’ll though out and get him elected again?????

So, in summary then, William Storey is our new ambassador to the United States?

Are there now 2 distinct companies, Lightning Volt and Rich Energy? Because it thought Rich Energy were re-named LV after WS was removed as CEO, but if this is the case, what is the twitter account for RE, and who’s controlling it as they clearly support WS and are behaving in way that suggests RE are “still a thing” – im confused..

There are two companies, Rich Energy Racing, who say they are in the business of ‘Other sports activities’ and Lightning Volt (was Rich Energy), which is the drinks business. Red Bull have a similar approach, the drinks business and the racing business, that run the F1 team etc. Guess Storey had similar plans, and is still active director of the Racing bit.

Note the company name doesn’t need to be the same as the product – I’d imagine the drink will still be called Rich Energy so that won’t change.

And yes, it does give the impression Storey is still tweeting – but perhaps that was a style LV are now continuing with??

    Not exactly…

“Lightning Volt” is the old Rich Energy, sold by Storey to BDG Group whose business apparently consists of winding up bankrupt companies (for a commission) and taking the heat off their previous owners.

“Rich Energy Racing” is Storey’s new vehicle to carry on where he left off in the belief that he’s now off the hook.
