awesome thread. really nice to see some flying memories.
that pic of the jet going between the hangers, I’m sure that was saints.
vc10’s bring back happy memories, and seeing a gr1 tornado on page 14. 31 squadron, the gold stars, my old squadron. bloody awesome.

We live under the flight path of Shoreham airport, so we’ve had the pleasure of the sights and sounds of spitfires, mustangs, chinook, jet provost and a little display from the blades as they make their way to and from the Eastbourne airshow.

The jet provost makes a fair bit of noise for a little old jet plane.

    Tu-22M, I think.

Is that an actual remote gun in bottom of the Tu22m’s rudder? Surely the projectiles will come out effectively stationary? 😯

Not entirely sure how I managed to call the MiG-25 a Frogfoot 😯

I did spot that mistake and I think I should be a little ashamed of myself for knowing impossibly nerdy stuff

Not if you’re approaching from astern at 6-700 knots…

The SU-31 crazy pilot link goes to a video of someone flying what looks like a Yak under a bridge,
So in the meantime here’s a crazy pilot doing loony things with an SU-35:

    And a pair of Yaks:

Not quite the same thing but I ‘flew’ the Lightning simulator at Tangmere last weekend.

Probably the closest I will ever get!

Here’s 3 from years ago when airshows were more awesome.

Jaguar at Linton on Ouse, wheels just up & starting to crank it over.

Neighbour in the village has a Hurricane he flies out of his little grass strip in his field. I’ll snap a couple of it. Its for sale if any if you fancy a proper toy.

I can forgive Red Bull for a lot because of what they did with this. Lovely.

Just found this on Zite: http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/the-touch-roll-touch-was-one-of-the-craziest-maneuvers-1694004513
Belgian display pilot managed to do a fast touch-and-go, followed by a fast roll on climb-out, followed immediately by a touch-down, on the same landing approach on the same runway.
Much attempted by others, usually fatally, manoeuvre was banned after a while.
    Qu’ell surprise!
