Photo uploading. Are admin aware there’s an issue with this? I’ve not seen any update on this, just lots of folk flagging out as an issue.
MacOS, iOS - trying both the built in uploader and also my usual way of copy and pasting photos from my device.

The threads listy forum overview page format seems to have changed recently (at least on my phone). It's more compact and neat now - I like it. Thanks!

Agreed, I couldn't tell you what's changed, but I noticed it being better.
Pictures not working for me either. Would upload but "insert in to post" did nothing.
Back to dark mode this am, despite fixing it the other day by deleting cookies. This is getting rather tedious…
Also, while I'm here, why is the like button so glacially slow?

It now doesn't sit within the landscape view on my phone automatically, if opened in landscape, but needs sliding to the right so that you can see the sub-forum icons and thread title
It's fine in portrait and rotates from portrait to landscape accurately

That's because the 3 at the top are sticky. All posts below the stickies are in last post order.

Have done the daily morning thing of deleting cookies on the iPad to get it out of dark mode.

All seems to have gone a bit rubbish again - got logged out, no mark all as read (STILL havent got a response on why we cant follow posts and get icon when on forum rather than having to subscribe and be inundated with emails).
Not great when trying to encourage people to invest - unless plan is to waste more time and money developing site to just make it worse!

Is it just me, or does clicking on a Title automatically taken you to the most recent post? I thought it would take me to the first post - it does, but then automatically jumps to Most Recent after a very short delay.
Only if I've visited the thread in the last couple of days...otherwise it just loads first post.
I normally access the site through my phone.
At best then finding posting history or starting a new thread is not that intuitive, but how the hell do I do it on a PC?

You can only start a thread from either the bike forum or the chat forum, not the Latest page (which is what I usually default to). Bit weird.

I don't think that's particularly new, hasn't it been like it for months (probably longer?)

At least it keeps me logged in most of the time, but when I open the site on my android phone there's about a 30-40 second delay before I can scroll down, and opening a post takes about 20 seconds.
Holy moley, its unusably slow.and laggy for me. Coming here from anywhere else on the internet it's like going back to dial-up. Seriously it's bad enough that I don't bother to check in often these days. I suspect I'm not alone so if this isn't resolved soon and things get back to being reasonably snappy I think the forum is in serious trouble.
Same for me, painfully slow and even when it looks like it's loaded, it hasn't as you go to open a thread and it opens something further up the page. I almost ration what I read because it's too slow to look at all the topics I might usually have browsed.
Speed is fine for me - on both Windows and Android - but I've almost given up on the place due to the constant re-introduction of faults and the lack of acknowledgment of them when reported. It's like bloody amateur hour and any "investor" should be considering how this team could handle anything beyond what they currently have to work with. TBH, if I was to write down what I really think I'd likely get a ban so I'm thinking I'll just not bother renewing my subscription and sack the whole thing off.
Oh my word this is so poor. I'm not having the problems re:dark mode but on my laptop I hav eto log in every time I try to access the site. On my android phone I stay logged in but seem to get the desktop version. It's so small I hav eto pinch/ zoom to use it. And I am paying for this. I'm a patient guy but someone is taking the Mick.
But hey, if I visit STW HQ I get a free coffee.

On your phone, have you somehow selected 'desktop site'?
Tap the 3 dots top right and scroll to the bottom of that list and make sure the option for desktop site isn't selected.
Heads up. Amazon Web Services is currently down this morning. We use AWS for some services like email from the site. This will likely cause issues for anyone resetting their passwords or for other things that involve an email notification from us. Hopefully it won’t be down for long.

+1 on this. I frequently give up waiting for forum pages to load these days. And posting, while better than it was, is still painful.
At least on the upside sticky posts now work on the main view. Good to see the PSA thread sitting at the top on the main forum page
How come the mobile index for the forum counts in 'replies', while everything else, including the desktop index counts in 'posts'?
A further side effect of stating 'replies' is it makes all the counts wrong because the OP isn't being subtracted. e.g. stating 'Replies: 1' when it is actually just the OP with zero replies.
I don't even bother looking at this site on a mobile. It just doesn't work.

Have you cleared your stw cookies? Apparently it takes your system settings. So assuming you have light mode active on your device, then clearing the cookies on this site and logging back in should sort it.
Although, apparently dark mode uses less power than light mode, so if you are worried about the environment and climate change - dark mode can help a wee bit (apparently).
Thank you, I’ll try that again. I’m all for trying to protect the environment but not sure me staying in dark mode is going to help - taking account of the growing appetite among STW and it’s members for driving and flying to cycle!
Very true...every little bit helps and all that but suspect we need a huge effort given how much power and resources are needed for the likes of AI nowadays.

I'm well jealous of you lot stuck in dark mode, I'm stuck in light mode (Firefox/Linux/Desktop) and my eyes hate it.

Is your pc set to show dark mode? If not, then you'll be seeing the site in light mode.

Edit followed media link . It said attach some numbers then attach. I ticked the box and pressed insert into post.
No joy.
Make sure the box is ticked as above and then click Add To Post. 
Image should appear in preview. Then hit Add Reply
Seems to work. Have to wait quite a long time for the Cancel button to change to a checkbox though.

Yes. Another website updates in real time as themes are switched, and has three settings auto, light, and dark, however it is also marked beta.
There are still some problems with this forum for which there appears to be little enthusiasm for fixing!

The layout is still odd, is it stuck in mobile mode, picture (hopefully) below?, 
Personal details are still displayed on classified adverts. I tried deleting my paid for advert but no luck, if I was advertising something as expensive and desirable to thieves as, say, a VW camper van then I wouldn’t like my full name being displayed on the advert.
