When my Stages SB20 gives up something like that Zwift bike will do. But tied to Zwift and no crank length options is a huge negative.

I don’t imagine that they have done anything groundbreaking on the crank front that wouldn’t stop normal cranks being fitted.

GPlama is going to do a strip down so we’ll learn more about the components.

watched both the DC Rainmaker and GPLama reviews and they gave a fairly impressive review.

For little more than my original Kickr, that is a great deal! Not sure it needed the aero tubes 😀  My set up is my titanium cross bike running 1×11 with real shifting from the Gevenalle brake mounted thumb shifter. I was considering adding the new game shifters for access to Zwift functions as I can’t reach them from the bike (iPad is on a shelf under the TV). I would think Wattbike Atom should be worried.

I hope it’ll be quite quickly available as a frame only and that the virtual shifting upgrade for V5 kickr arrives soon. After 6 years of heavy usage I’m starting to have doubts about how long my old road frame will last (carbon stays into aluminium lugs and front frame that is now 20 years old).

Just read the DCR review. Looks like Zwift are making all the right noises for once! Compatibility with other trainers coming soon (though a firmware update coming for my original Neo is possibly unlikely, although of course it’s not going to last forever anyway!) and they say they want to open it up to other apps. Family Membership being in the offing is very interesting too (depending on how they price it of course).

I would think Wattbike Atom should be worried.

I think anyone else making a smart bike should be worried! Over £3k for the Tacx one, vs this – which is probably better, anyway!!

It’s 2mm short on my rocker plate I bought for my stages bike. Boo.

Might be shorter with a full fat kickr.

I actually have a kickr v5 in the shed so I’d be interested in the frame.

    Looks interesting.
I was intending on buying a Wattbike later this year to use during the winter months but it looks like the Zwift thing could be just as good but £1k cheaper!

DCR seems to like it – if anyone has a suitable Wahoo trainer the bike and cog are going to be available separately later.

does it come with a years sub?

my Neo is 7 years old this year, and I like the movement with the motion plates for Z2 rides, but they are useless for efforts, and I could live without them

OG Neo, associated SRAM Cassttes and spare free hubs, Baseplates, Zwift Play, I’d cover half of this selling the bits I have probably, and £18 quid a month for a sub, if it includes a years sub, then if it’s in stock in October, I’ll probably pick one up, no brainer considering I never really venture outside Nov-Feb, and I just restarted my sub as the weather has been so poor over the last couple of months

interested in this, I tried a quad lock to mount my iPhone, but it blocks the airflow from my Headwind too much, all that stem junk can go in the bin if it’s removable

it doesn’t say that it does, but it’s not actually available for sale yet, and it’d be a bit weird if it didn’t (I think) because it’s completely useless without a Zwift sub right now!

I’ve got a whole trainer desk thing, so have 2 fans each mounted off to the side which I actually prefer anyway to a frontal one (granted they’re Vacmaster Cardios which are a fair bit cheaper for 2 than Headwinds!!)

yer i had the desk as well, but I moved the setup from the garage to indoors as out of sight out of mind, and I wasn’t using it, now have the hand mounted under a tripod stand with a TV and a laptop shelf, this one below, as I cannot do z2 or low intensity efforts staring at Zwift, so watch TV series, don’t have much space L+R,

an Elite aria might work better for me now, but does anyone know what the one in the DCRainmaker vid is?

@dirtyrider that’s the JetBlack one. Think the remote is IR though which is not ideal. I really rate the Vacmaster Cardios that I have (which have RF remotes) plus they are discounted at the moment! 😂
