    Had a trawl on web, and looked at owners' manuals, but help from the STW thinktank would be great…

    I know the 05/06 share the same manual, and the 07 has its own, so must be slightly diff…

    It may be that the later ones were designed for longer forks but try yetifan,

    Early ones had the hole in the frame knuckle thingumy

    newer ones redesigned with slight changes in geometry to take longer forks, supposed to be stiffer, hydro-formed top tube a la Nomad, no knuckle joint

    The early manual had the set up info for the 2004 to 2006 rear shock package with either the 5th element(model year 2004/2005) or RP3 shock (2005 on).
    2007 they removed the earlier info for the rear shocks and included the RP23 information only, if i remeber correctly.

    Frames are all the same for all model years 2004 -2007 but options of semi carbon rear was introduced as option in 2006
