Balls POC definitely out for us on Sat. I fear our run of defeats isn’t going to end this weekend.

    Ireland team for SA:

    15 – Simon Zebo (Cork Constitution/Munster/1)
    14 – Tommy Bowe (Belfast Harlequins/Ulster/49)
    13 – Keith Earls (Young Munster/Munster/32)
    12 – Gordon D’Arcy (Lansdowne/Leinster/69)
    11 – Andrew Trimble (Ballymena/Ulster/48)
    10 – Jonathan Sexton (St.Mary’s College/Leinster/32)
    9 – Conor Murray (Garryowen/Munster/12)

    1 – Cian Healy (Clontarf/Leinster/33)
    2 – Richardt Strauss (Old Wesley/Leinster)*
    3 – Mike Ross (Clontarf/Leinster/22)
    4 – Donnacha Ryan (Shannon/Munster/21)
    5 – Mike McCarthy (Buccaneers/Connacht/4)
    6 – Peter O’Mahony (Cork Constitution/Munster/7)
    7 – Chris Henry (Malone/Ulster/2)
    8 – Jamie Heaslip (Naas/Leinster/50) Captain

    Replacements:
    16 – Sean Cronin (St. Mary’s College/Leinster/21)
    17 – David Kilcoyne (UL Bohemians/Munster)*
    18 – Michael Bent (Leinster)*
    19 – Donncha O’Callaghan (Cork Constitution/Munster/88)
    20 – Iain Henderson (Queens University/Ulster)*
    21 – Eoin Reddan (Lansdowne/Leinster/45)
    22 – Ronan O’Gara (Cork Constitution/Munster/124)
    23 – Fergus McFadden (Old Belvedere/Leinster/14)

Steady Deccie has excelled again. DOC and ROG shouldn’t be anywhere near this team, time to get a few younger players in. Glad to see Henry getting a start at 7 as we have never really replaced David Wallace and he has been in great form for Ulster.

DOC’s solid on the bench, but I agree re ROG. Time for new players, and as for his tackling, the less said the better!

I have to disagree on DOC, he hangs around on the wing, thinking he playing a 15 man game, looking disinterested and giving away too many penalties.

I’m also not keen on bringing in the chap Bent from NZ, fair enough his Granny or something is Irish but he hasn’t even played a game in Ireland. What type of message does that send to young Irish players.

lol @ducky I think if you liked Guinness or fly fishing you made Jacks team. When it comes to fitba I’m from north of the border, home of the best ever…no pun intended

Zebo at full back, is that wise?

He is a very good attacking winger but hasn’t even played FB for Munster so it’s certainly a gamble. SA are bound to kick and press all day long so I hope he can withstand it.

Just got a ticket for the game so I’ll check out Zebo’s skills in person. Woo hoo!

I rate Zebo highly as a winger but its a big ask to play 15 when not that experienced. I might have thought Bowe would be a better bet. That whole Irish team looks a bit second rate to me.

All Black team to play Scotland:
15 Israel Dagg, 14 Cory Jane, 13 Ben Smith, 12 Tamati Ellison, 11 Julian Savea, 10 Daniel Carter, 9 Piri Weepu, 8 Victor Vito, 7 Richie McCaw (captain), 6 Adam Thomson, 5 Sam Whitelock, 4 Luke Romano, 3 Owen Franks, 2 Andrew Hore, 1 Wyatt Crockett.

Reserves: Dane Coles, Tony Woodcock, Ben Franks, Ali Williams, Sam Cane, Tawera Kerr-Barlow, Beauden Barrett, Ma’a Nonu.

10 changes from their last fixture. Guess they don’t like to draw games.

Thought McCaw was having a rest, that looks like a strong outfit and lots on the bench as well, wonder what TJ thinks of that?

@AA – I guess that Bowe and Zebo can rotate if needs be, according to the Irish press Zebo has the best boot of the three and that is why he was selected.

Can’t see anything other than a big win for the All Blacks on Sun, that bench is very strong.

Wyatt Crockett sounds like he should be in a Western movie

Gulp, that’s a strong NZ team, i think Vito may run off the scrums at Laidlaw a fair bit.

Sheesh….Obviously have targeted Scotland as the danger team, since we are the only home nation to beat any of the SH this year. Can’t blame them really, can you?

    Predictions anyone?

    I will go

England to win by more than 12 points
SA to win by less than 10 points
Wales to win by less than 7 points
NZ to win by more than 10 points (but Scotland to score which is almost the same as a win in Edinburgh this season)

England by less than that. 5-10 only
SA should stroll it, sadly. 20+
Wales by less than 7 I agree with.
NZ by more than 30. But yes, Scotland will score. A penalty.

What? looking at Scotlands fantastic record v NZ i just don’t see where you get victory by more than 30 😉

Will be making sure hipflask is brimmed

    •2010: Scotland 3-49 NZ
    •2008: Scotland 6-32 NZ
    •2007 (WC): Scotland 0-40 NZ
    •2005: Scotland 10-29 NZ
    •2001: Scotland 6-37 NZ

I think Ireland will struggle without some key players but not that badly.

Scotchland and Ireland to recieve a thorough kicking. Wales to sneak by with a couple of late tries. Englandshire to hammer Fiji and be back on the top of the world.

They’ve “dropped” this lot from the starting 15 since the last game, wonder if any of them will make the mid-week side? 😉

Wales are playing utter rubbish. Very disappointed. 🙁

Argentina look like the coming force in world rugby, though. Which I suppose is good to see.

    But still, 🙁

    GLITCHYWANKERY!

That was dire from Wales. Dire, dire, dire. Terrible performance, and deserved to be beaten.

    Lobbe was immense.

Wales utterly clueless. Really don’t think Howley is a suitable sub for Gatland, seems to pick the same players, regardless of form. Warburton was anonymous, Priestland inept. Wish I I hadn’t forked out 75 quid for the All Blacks game now…….

Wales lacked commitment at the breakdown. Didn’t compete we’ll enough and ended up playing off the back foot. Argentina took the game to them and they had no answer. So disappointing. Had I paid to watch that, I’d want my money back.

Wales, ha ha ha. Best team in world rugby, everyone of them a lion in waiting….. Love it.

Sloppy England showing a lot of new caps and lack of cohesion, not a bad result at all!
