    Does anyone know which are the correct pins to use when joining the new Shimano 10sp MTB chains? The only ones I can find seem to be listed for road chains, are these also suitable for MTB?

    I’ve asked a couple of bike retailers and they’re not sure! The Shimano tech doc that came with the SLX groupset simply states to use a reinforced pin.

    10 speed Shimano pins fit both 10 speed road and MTB chains

    Indeed they do. Or you can use a SRAM PowerLock or KMC or Connex quick link.
