What grease to use for a Hope rear hub service

Rear Hope XC hub, just bought new bearings and axel. What grease would you recommend? I’ve got some good old Castrol grease, thick cheap stuff. Will that do or do I need to buy something better/ more specific?

thats what I use in mine – castrol LM

i use some thick finishline stuff ive had for yonks, seems to work fine

I use a thin, flowy grease – like Manitou Prep M. I find the thicker stuff just gums up over time.

I cleaned mine out and used wet weather chain lube = nice and clicky!

no right or wrongs then, everybody has said something totally different so far! Managed 8 years without servicing/ cleaning the internals once – hope I can manage that again!
