The saga of my frame woes goes from bad to worse so I’m now looking for suggestions of other frames that will accept as many of my existing parts as possible for a 160ish mm ride all day type bike for use in the Peak/alps/Pyrenees.

    160mm 27.5 tapered fork.
    30.9 internal dropper.
    27.5 x 142 x 12 rear wheel
    PF30 bottom bracket.

    Thoughts?

Nomad but the bb is wrong… scrap that so is the dropper.

Giant reign i think fits all?

Cotic Rocket and buy a new BB and seatpost shim.

Bottom bracket is the cheapest to change, so I’d compromise on that. Wonder if Thomson posts can have the outer tube replaced in the same way you can on reverbs.

Unless you mean to go smaller, why not just shim the post? Opens up a few more options I would have thought. I run 30.9 posts + shims in 2 different 31.6 frames with no problems.

Paul, what 30.9-31.6 shims are you using?

Given my lack of awakeness today, despite a 2+ hour lie-in, no doubt completely unsuitable. 😉

I guess you need to be looking for a non boosted frame?

I used this for a couple of years with no problems.

Bikescene have a stumpy evo in med blue that would be a hooligan with that build. Cheap as well.

Non boost would be a simpler transition but it would be foolish to dismiss a great bike for the want of a hub and a bit of fettling.

I’d say specialized with those specs, stumpjumper evo should take the 160mm fork or you’ve got the enduro. I think they’ve gone back to threaded bb shells this year, bike scene are your place to go for last years bargains though.. and they are frame only. Got my stumpjumper from them and was very pleased with price and service.

Taking a closer look at airdrop now. Might be turning my back on plastic frames.
