    Southern Comfort victim here too.

New years eve many years ago I drank a litre of it before we went out followed by nine pints with SC chasers. Next morning was the hangover from hell which lasted for three days. Can’t even smell it now without wretching. 😕

Thankfully don’t think it’s made anymore – got very, very ill on more than one occasion on that stuff

Alcohol. Because it all tastes like shite. I’d rather have a glass of juice.

    and by association Red Bull
but not so much because of myself but because I’ve cleaned it up too many times in my previous life and fought off a few too many drunken guys breathing them in my face…

Wells Bombardier, proper rank the other day in the pub.

Tasted like vinegar compared to the Wyre Valley HPA I had up the road only 15 mins before,
put me off it for life.

Any white rum. The only time I’ve thrown up from alcohol was after a night only drinking that. The hangover was rough as well.

    Sambuca – needs no explanation.

    Peroni Nastro Azzurro

Don’t know why but 3 or 4 pints of this stuff knocks me off my feet. Normal beers or lagers aren’t a problem, have been known to put a gallon away on a big night out but Peroni is, for some reason, different. Never been ill off beer til I had this stuff. Just to be sure it wasn’t a fluke I went to a function some months later and had another Peroni night and the same thing happened 🙁

Absinthe is a beautiful drink. Cheap stuff with wormwood in goes very well with redbull for evenings of total chaos. All of my singlespeed event riding including the competetive bits have been fueled by the green pixies

But tricky I’m being a good boy I want a cake stand with fondant fancies and nice pot of darjeeling in the pit. I was thinking one lap and then nice tea party.

that would be amazing. I was thinking of borrowing my mates flintstone rollers for the warmup to freak everyone out.

Or do a lap in full face helmet and armour 🙂

Cucumber wine. Yep that’s what you read. I downed a litre carton of it years ago at a house party.
I was like a sick cannon within minutes.

must have been a bad one

I tend to only drink wine (mostly red) or beer (beer, not lager).

Tried Tequila once, I think the bottle is 5 years old now & still only one shot gone. ditto Brandy. Whisky, Pernod, Southern Comfort, Vodka all palatable but I never buy any simply because of the up-front price. Never had owt else

Aged 17 rugby tour to Holland, got hold of a bottle of Malibu, ran down a corridor slightly off and bashed my head on a door frame. Woke up in bed the next day with a massive lump and covered in puke.

Now anything vaguely coconutty makes me feel ill.

As an ex motor mechanic i can categorically confirm that Tequilla tastes like Hypoid 90 gear oil. (don’t ask how I know what gear oil tastes like except it involved a mk11 Escort gearbox)

I drank a bottle in my teens and was really ill for what felt like days.

Even nearly 20 years on, the smell of it still makes me feel sick!!

got quite a taste for this about 15years ago, over did it one night along with several beers while in prague, was a hell of a night though!
without doubt the worse hangover I’ve ever had, felt terrible for days.

The thought for it makes me shudder let alone the smell/taste.

    Rusty Mac,

I can concur that Stroh is not good. Burns on the way down. Burns on the way up.

Vintage jenever. We were given a bottle of it as a gift when we moved back to the UK from Holland. It smells like an old man’s sick crossed with sump oil.

This is quite a topical thread for us as we’ve just been packing up the contents of our drinks cabinet, which mainly seems to consist of the horrible stuff that no one wants to drink on the basis that the good stuff doesn’t hang around that long. Some of the bottles have been with us the last 3 moves
