Sorry on a serious note….
What’s the reason for the massive increase in bollard numbers ?
I work above Cannon St station which has been redeveloped of late and the amount of bollards they have put around the front of the building is staggering. At Liverpool St, also, new bollards have been put in place in the most unlikely of place (up the little flight of steps infront of McD’s)
And have you seen the bases of those things? They are like icebergs only a third is on top with the massive metal bases all interlockering with the one closest to it.
So what are they meant to stop? Car bomb? Tank? Wild herd of upset commuters?
