Kirky…
I only wore one pair of bibs!
Some DHB ones… nothing fancy, but they work well for me…
Askari, I’ve spent a fortune of saddles and have settled on a specialized power saddle…
This was a long effort, granted, but about 70% of it was spent out of the saddle so soreness want really an issue…
On the question of riding for proper long distances/times… my tip would be to ride at a pace where you don’t feel tired or get worn out… then as long as you keep eating amd drinking, you can just go on..
Now, for me, that pace is a pretty reasonable one, but still….if I were to push past it, I’d suffer…
So even if your ‘steady pace’ is slow… that’s fine.. stick with it and you’ll get there. Albeit slower!
Once you get to ‘know yourself’ you can work out if you can maybe push yourself a BIT past that pace for a short time… as long as you can recover (I.e hard up a hill.. but rest and recover coming down..)..
Endurance stuff is about getting fit, but also a strategy amd personal ‘awareness ‘ of what you can do/how you feel…
