Can't see it being anyone other than Cancellara unfortunately if he's managed to get his form right.

I agree, Wiggins is still going to be suffering from his efforts on the TDF, he's still a bit under weight i reckon

never mind "unfortunately" – Cancellara's ace. Iknow Wiggins was after a bigger prize in the TdF but the power & speed that bugger generates on a flat road is something you don't see from anyone else (other than half a mile running up to a sprint)

Well yeah, I'm a fan of Cancellara too – if only for his excellent facial hair and general cartoon character look 🙂 Remember seeing him TT at the TdF in London and he was just clearly better than anyone else.

I'd still like Wiggo to win though.

Anyone got a link to Spartacus doing his lunatic downhilling in yellow in the Tour?

He really is something else on a TT, isn't he!

The decent full length video of that with the Mozart soundtrack got pulled from YouTube for breach of copyright. 🙁

Cancellara is ridiculous, the rate he's going is just stupid. Fantastic stuff. The Swedes are getting excited about Larsson's efforts now though.

Is that because of the D2 shifter? Seems to be.

I was just chuffed that the event got a mention on the Today Programme's sports report on Radio 4, usually the preserve of cricket, footie, horse racing and other mundane games.

Who says pester power doesn't work?!

    just watched this on eurosport

as my kids would say – "OSSOME" !!

Old wiggo was a bit disparaging about the silver medal swedish geezer, wasn't he ?!

"The brake pulled over because I'd dropped my chain at the bottom of the climb," Wiggins told Cycling Weekly. "The brake is behind the chain ring and it just moved the brake caliper over.

"I did the climb because I didn't want to change at the bottom with it rubbing and thought I'd change it at the top.

"I jumped off not knowing that the car wasn't there. And that was it really. It was race over."

thought it was a brake problem

    shame 🙁
