I've always wondered about sign writers. I think it must be a "line of demarcation" thing. Your client can't spell but you can always fall back to "we wrote exactly what you asked for." If you correct it, you risk them complaining.
@cougar2 I'm sure that ^ is my photo (and foot) from the Disproportionately Cross thread! Think I've deleted it from my phone, but I know exactly where I took it in Wolverhampton City centre. So pleased to see you've resurrected it, good effort. "Copyr ight" not claimed, anyone can reuse it...
I'm 99% sure I culled it from Facebook, so it's coincidentally gone full circle.

That’s a rabbit hole I’m not diving into at this time of night, at least, not without a large single malt as an anaesthetic.
So this is the other thread mentioned in Disproportionately Cross thread, when I posted this pic.
The new surface has only been down about 6 months
This irks me much more than the myriad mismatched angles of the rotated lids (which i kinda like tbf):
Well the covers on the wrong way is just a funny wind-up. That slew of macadam instead of replacing pavers is plain wrong.
Whoever in the Council Highways department allowed that to happen should be demoted to litter picking and the contractors brought back to replace that with the pavers they took out at their own expense.
I actually quite like the look of that. Also wonder if it features like a reverse Tactile Ground Surface Indicator.
It looks like someone's had a wee out of the front door, in 8 bit graphics
As a curtain maker it always irks when a blind, curtain or curtain rail/track is wonky, unhooked or the ends have come off the fitment.
So many places from posh hotels to holiday accommodation have this problem. Many times hubby and I have stood on a wobbly chair to try and fix the problem.
I'm staring at a curtain now, where one hook has come away from the rail, but It would need a proper ladder job and it's not my house.
