Eye opening closing/blackening is quite an accurate description what can happen to both your eyes in some of the more “local” pubs. 😆

Last time I took my bike in a room at a Travelodge-I had to clean the bike before I could use it! Just like the bed and the bathroom.

Maybe only £30 but Premier on Hi-express for an extra £10 is much cleaner and the staff are on a different level of customer care.

Last time I was staying at a TravelLodge we weren’t allowed to take
bikes in the room. This was some time ago, I was in Dumfries for an NPS.
We were told some idiot mountain biker had trashed their room the night before so that was that. Rob Warner, take a bow.

Just spent 2 days at Bike Park wales and the trails are great and if anybody would like somewhere to stay with secure bike storage I can recommend Gethin Lodge,

There is a Pentrebach house within 5 minutes walk for breakfast and an old style boozer along the road called The Colliers Arms

Oh and our group feel a little let down

Were you there on Saturday night? If so, I can only apologise, and I’ll punch you in the nuts next time our paths cross. 🙂

Crashed hard on first run of Willy Waver as friend in front lost it equally hard in to that tree. I reckon, looking at the way it’s been beaten up, many people have hit it!

I hit what I presume is ‘that tree’ very hard a week ago, that’ll be new forks and I am still limping…

We were chatting about that tree over dinner on Saturday, and speculating that many, many people had already hit it and many more would in the future. I suspect it may not last long as a tree where it is now….

    Hope you get well soon!

We stayed there Sat night having ridden elsewhere before BPW on Sunday & no-one even batted an eyelid about us having bikes in the room.

It’s always been a dump there, we used to use it when we raced & all that was there being the DH track.

Quite enjoyed it yesterday, have to say that most of the blues flow better than the reds at pace.

The DH track is certainly quicker, and shorter than it used to be. The jumps up the top are fun!

However, did you know…..GoogleMaps outside Earl’s Court Underground station, clicking the double arrow pointing at the old-fashioned police box and take a peek inside the TARDIS’….

    can’t get this to work!

Always taken clean bike into the room at the one at Port Talbot. Staff are quite happy, even sorted us a ground floor room so we didnt have take them upstairs.

jekyll, just tried it (you have to be in streetview) and it took ages of going back and forward before the double arrow appeared, on the left side pointing to the doors. dunno what thats about but stick with it and they seem to suddenly appear
