Two 25 year old loos here. Downstairs conventional flush. Upstairs is converted to a soft flush. Existing handle but completely new flush mechanism. Its basically a flap that opens up and the flow is really good. It’s also a soft press on the handle. Brilliant. Hold down for long flush. I’ll look it up.
Can you get them to spray GT85 on the sides and surface of the water pre-dump, then the log is lubed as it enters the water, and goes round the bend like a wet otter
Surely you have them prep their hoops with a brush of oil pre motion to coat the forbidden wispa and ease it’s passage to the sea?
Depending on clubcard deals you should be able to pick up a litre for under a tenner. Personally I’d go with Tesco’s own ‘Light in colour’ olive oil, it’s effective and has a low viscosity.
Hmm..WD40 the bowl….interesting. Y’ know the old ‘what tyres/chain lube for [insert season]’ threads? Maybe we could start a ´what toilet bowl lube/abrasive medium for sticky dumps’ thread? Only of the environmentally friendly sort mind – olive oil is my current fave suggestion 😁
Our first house had an outside toilet with a high level cistern, about 8ft above ground with a chain pull. Nothing ever got stuck.
similar modern bogs (all brass fittings and very designer) are available and our next refurb will have one. All the comments about several flushes rings true in our ‘modern’ water saving facilities..
