I’ve got a set of XX1 cranks and the driveside crank arm, the permanently fixed one, has become, er, not permanently fixed. It’s got quite a wobble on now. Can it be fixed? I’d assumed I could take off the spline that the chainring spider sits on then slide the crank arm off, blather the axle and inside of the crank with epoxy then reassemble, but the spline fitting doesn’t have any obvious way of removal.

    Anyone any ideas?

    [insert rock joke here]

I guess you could try a DIY repair on a crank, but even I wouldn’t!

Might be worth speaking to the pros for this, I’ve got a Next arm that’s the same- I’d be happy to just epoxy the crap out of it, except I can’t get it to where it needs to be.

Well, that’s the thing isn’t it- I think epoxy would sort it but just can’t get it in there. When you say “the pros” I assume you mean Sram themselves?

I was thinking carboncyclerepairs or similar, there’s a few specialists. SRAM’ll tell you to bugger off unless it’s a warranty
