Runs Whistler a close second as the best place I’ve ever ridden.

I really want this to be true but someone I met who’d been said it was $hit as you have to spend all your time queuing for buses, for lifts, for food, for buses again. His exact words were “do not come here to ski!” (nb I know this is a snowboarding thread)

Prove him wrong – is the dodgy lift system that much of a problem?

My office mate on the other hand is like you a zealot for the place in Winter

Looks like it might be Tignes then (pending any cheap deals to the US and the agreement of MR MC).

Most of the dodgy bits have been removed. New Brevent bubble, 6-man express chairs on busiest bits of Brevent, Flegere and Grand Montets. You would need to make an early start in the busy weeks but the only bad bottleneck is the bottom of Flegere.

Another one here for Pleisure Holidays in Courchevel, you will not find better holiday or a more reasonable cost from anyone. Tell them Dave sent you, you might get more of a discount. 🙂

Lifts queues are the same all over Europe with pushing and people walking over your board. The experience in USA/Canada is just so much better. Liftees smile and talk to you rather than grimace and try and look cool.

However apres is far worse. Were it not for taking our 6 month old son with us we would be hitting the states again this year instead of the hordes of France.

Went with them to Livigno a few years ago and all was smooth and very happy with the accommodation. Quite nice to be able to chat and confirm a few things before going ahead, so recommended. Don’t like their search facility though as I found that a bit tiresome to wade through all the offers.

Cool that’s a bit more promising then Woody! Thanks we are just having a chat and think about where we want to go now. May just ring them and see what they offer.
