Any thoughts or experiences on skip hire or waste collection in Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire to be precise?

A family friend who is a landscape gardener is helping us cut down some overgrown trees in our garden. Getting rid of the waste is going to be the difficult part.

I was going to hire a van / pickup and take the garden waste to the local recycling centre, but the council limit the hours of access for these types of vehicles. I probably could not make enough trips within these hours.

It may be that hiring a skip may be just as cost effective as getting a company in to collect the waste.

You have trees? I need trees and branches for panto set.

What type? If its leylanndi just bin it, but if twiggy, branchy and foresty and suitable for Red Riding Hood we can collect. 3- 5 metre lengths perfect.

Sorry Cbike but the bulk of it is Leylanndi. I might have some Rowan tree branches though. Will give you a shout.

Thanks for the suggestions / links, have approached them for quotes.
