Frame I’m making was, initially, going to be carbon tubed but just looking at other options too.
Is there anywhere that sells odd pieces of Reynolds tubing? In know Ceeway do Columbus and have emailed them but would be good to try and get some prices/sizes for Reynolds too.
I only need a few short (..er than normal lengths as it’s for a 16″ wheel frame).

There was a time when you could just pop along to your local framebuilder, and have a chat about this and that. Look at some tubes, and make a choice, pay for them then go on your way.

To get an idea of, some of,the Reynolds tubes that are available.
Fairing are the distributer of Reynolds tubes in the USA,but they have info on dimensions and part numbers of some tubes.

Contact Reynolds direct, but there will be a minium order charge.

i’m sure someone will be along in a moment to correct me, but…

i don’t think Reynolds will simply sell tubing to anyone who asks, i thought there was some kind of quality assurance process you had to go through?

(show them your welding certs, demonstrate competence, sign up to an approved tubing-use design process… y’know, that kind of thing)

    or…

for such a small frame, it’s unlikely that you’ll have much choice of butted tubing. if you’re restricted to plain guage, how about T45? i bought mine from Elmdon.

and if you’re talking to elmdon, they may well recommend their own ‘clubman 500’ tubing, which isn’t *quite* as strong as T45, but it doesn’t mind being bent (T45 can crack if you bend it too far)

I’ve had samples from Ceeway. Their website is shockingly poor but they are dead helpful when you speak to them.

    Depends what you are after.

I’ve emailed TBA and Ceeway so hopefully they’ll get back to me.

Last lot of stuff I got from Ceeway was some practice tubes, think it cost me about 20 quid or 3 tubes and 5 lugs.

If its for a kids 16″ wheeled bike I’d imagine anything would be fine.
