Just cancel then surely an industry party with jurnos and industry types travelling goes against the eco ethos the magazine likes to portray.

Doesn’t say the event is in person? Hasn’t been for a while IIRC?

Most Desirable Brand: Given what happened to last year’s winner I’m going to nominate a brand I don’t like; Haibike, by golly they’re minging.

There’s no ‘event’ happening for these awards. We haven’t had an in person event since before the pandemic. The last one we had was held just down the road in Hebden Bridge at the Trades Club.

Most Desirable MTB: DJI E-Bike. No idea if it will live up to the hype, but I’d be more excited to ride that over most others.

Most Desirable Brand: Pivot. They are pretty big these days but they still seem to reeeealy care about every detail. Maybe a fraction hot-climate biased, but incredible bikes – the weight of that new Pheonix is pretty incredible.

Community Builders Award: The people behind the Bolly Skyline Enduro – fantastic event with all-new trails. Josh and his mates know what they’re doing!

Best UK riding destination: Tweed Valley. Golfie has stepped up it’s game significantly to be a bit more weather-proof. Incredible area.

MTB Personality of the Year: Asa Vermette – Just love his laid back happy style, while he’s obviously an absolute shredder. His choice to go with Frameworks rather than some of the big players showed how humble his is. Hope they can move into next year without having to shake everything up. Hope his injury fixes up soon!

Desirable MTB – Dawley T16. Look amazing, ticks a ton of boxes for UK riding, made by a really nice guy who is really passionate about what he does, amid really difficult times for the bike industry.

Desirable Brand. BTR. Drool worthy bikes, made (beautifully) to order, when he has the time.
