I’ve acquired a set of SID Race forks (a couple of years old) with no lock-out. Anyone know if you can get hold of the lockout/Poplock element separately and retro-fit???

Does your fork have a blue dial on the top of the leg with a slot running round it’s edge for you to fit a cable in (secured via a grub screw)?

If so, then you probably can. I think the actual lever on it’s own though is quite expensive for what it is.

People often misinterpret the word “poploc” to mean “remote control switch” which it isn’t – my Reba has poploc but it’s not remote… but I can’t answer JB’s question either.

Don’t SID’s have slimmer stantions than other RS forks? If so I very much doubt that the internals are interchangable.

Hmmm no idea… will have a look later, but i suspect that even if it is possible the cost is likely to be prohibitive.

Aaaaah, yes, I misunderstood….if you can’t lock out your fork even with a dial on the leg then I doubt you’ll be able to do it.

Yes, older SID forks had narrower stanchions so i think the upgrade kit wouldn’t be a go-er. Hmmmm.

    Eh? What is it, then?

I have a little lever switch thingy on my bars. It goes ‘Pop!’ ‘Loc!’. And it locks my fork out, from a remote location. Sometimes, even Hackney.
